expensive for the specs, yes. But I have the mini X and use it every day in Manhattan. No other skateboard (not long) could survive the daily use. Boosted handles it like a champ. They made vehicles, not toys. I'm in mourning over here.

I liked the podcast format. I think the company is 100% done. There will be no buyer. They tried to raise money and they couldn't. I believe for a valid reasons: they raised 80 million dollars in late 2018 that they burnt in less than 1.5 years. Releasing a scooter was also a mistake in my opinion. The exact same story happened to inboard last year. It's very sad. I have always been skeptical of electric skateboards until I met Jeff Russakow at an event and got to try a boosted stealth. I decided to buy one almost immediately after. I've had a lot of reliability issues (with motors, belts, …) but their customer service was always top notch. Things started going downhill in May 2019 when they released their stupid scooter. I wish they would license their battery, motor and remote control specs to a third party so that we can maintain our boards for years to come. Everything else: Belts, pulleys, wheels, bearings and bushings can already be purchased elsewhere. I am not holding my breath though…

The 3rd gen. boards were not selling well and Boosted was already almost dying in 2018. The core customer base all already had Boosted boards and it was a hard sell to get them all to buy another board. In order to survive, they needed to expand to different vehicles. Had they not done the Rev, they would have already gone out of business a few years ago. The money they spent on developing the scooter was new money they got at the time specifically for the scooter. Their main problem was they tried to grow too much/too fast, and did not manage their money well. How many people do you really see on a Boosted in cities across the nation? Hardly any. Boosted invested and hired like they were going to sell mass-market, when in reality it always remained a niche product.

No one is buying boosted. They have such astronomical debt now that buying them out would be just too expensive. They were shipping boards to resellers without charge, until sale - so they have huge "stock on hand" and debt. The best bet for owners is that someone in China will sell knock off spare parts, like motors and belts, so you can get the spares you need. They also lost a tonne on the Rev - they sold terribly but R&D costs were huge. The story is they're 60 million in a hole, so a buy-out isn't happening.

I think boosted is a well-marketed brand. Despite many of the issues you mentioned, I think it is worthy to note how understanding boosted is. They listen to the community, and they have built a community of people who really are passionate about the brand. I remember when I bought my boosted stealth at $1600 dollars and the following week boosted announced a 20% off for all boards. I sent boosted an email and they didn't hesitate to issue me the 20% off despite the difference in the purchase date. I think this speaks volumes to the type of service boosted provides. I currently own a boosted stealth and after having tired the evolve GTR bamboo, I much like yourself, have decided to make the switch. However, one thing that made me think twice about this was how awesome it was to be a part of the community on the Boosted Reddit. While an evolve thread does exist it isn't nearly as active as that of boosted's. I can't speak to this for other countries but at least here in the US, whenever I ride past someone on an electric skateboard they are always quick to say 'Boosted Board WOOOO'. I am not kidding lol. Even when I have ridden my evolve. It seems like the boosted board has become synonymous with the consumer electric longboard of choice. With that having been said I think we are just beginning to see all that the last-mile electric vehicle market is going to become. Boosted, in my opinion, will continue to be the brand of choice for many newcomers discovering the world of electric longboards. I am confident a buyer will recognize the brand boosted has built, and am hopeful they will receive a buyer. Great video guys! I love how you can't help but talk about how wonderful it owning an Evolve, I feel the same way.

I’m devo, Boosted started the craze, sad to see them go, (if they do). I’ve got a plus and concerned what I will do if one of the motors goes or something. I think boosted should have focused on a new battery (extended, extended range battery) when they updated the board range in 2018. Boosted is based on the states and they will probably do something like GM did, (go bust & relaunch the next day with a slight change to their name). Boosted has value in their name and a strong following, I wouldn’t be shocked if someone buys them, but whoever buys them will probably wait until the last minute to get the best price (just before the ship sinks). People talk about price being the down fall but Evolve seems to be doing alright, their boards aren’t cheap. I’m not convinced it’s price of the board? Good podcast guys,

Gadgets & Stuff I would not buy a boosted or an evolve for that price but I can at least see a reason why people would buy an evolve. With more power, range and the possibility to convert to AT it has pretty good features. The boosted is well build but everything else is average at best.

KZitemr's would blindly big up £1500 boosted boards and now reveal they had problems with said board are also part of the problem. That die hard mindless fan boy allegiance is why they're surprised to see boosted flop. The rise of China boards who now produce belt drive, hubs and direct drive boards for a fraction of the price are still in business. Why? They constantly improve their product and service year in year out and still maintain a significantly lower price, and can out perform most of the expensive boards. Maybe that is why boosted flopped.

I have a Boosted Stealth. I'm a very new owner. I've only got about 75 miles on it. I wish I had gotten an Evolve instead. Now I'm stuck with this board, although I genuinely like it. I actually had to have my first one replaced because of both remote and battery issues. Fortunately, I bought my first one directly from Amazon with Amazon as the seller and I was able to have it exchanged very quickly. I also paid for the 105s at the beginning of December. It's been several months now and Boosted has sent out little to no word on the status of that order. I requested a refund yesterday but I'm all but certain I can kiss my $200 goodbye. Their customer service has been atrocious. I'm really bummed. I wanted a Boosted Board for a long time. I finally get one and they tank. Delightful. I have so many concerns about future issues like remote connections, and getting replacement batteries (let alone any other parts) that I wondered whether company like Exway could find a successful side business making conversion kits for dead Boosted Boards. In the meantime I have to hope that Boosted finds a buyer that isn't some garbage private equity firm or liquidator that's going to make things 10X worse.

I've a few friends with gtr''s and they all suffer from the motor over heating And causing the board to drop back to lower power mode. I picked up a brand new stealth for £670 and while I would never pay the full retail or even £1000 for a Boosted board I have to say it's very well made ,infact a sharper Std of finish than the he evolve boards I've owned and seen ,and touch wood for me it's been fault free .If you accept it's just a short commute board it's a great bit of kit IMO. I'm now purchasing a Trampa Orrsom longboard with 6.5" wheels (something I vowed I'd never fit to a ride) and a custom 12s4p batt fitted .Hopfully it should bridge the gap for longer rides that the stealth can't deliver.
