I totally agree, Bryce is a great beginner friendly bike park (it was my first too). Kudos to Hope and Bree, they were killing it! Great coaching and video Zane.

If I could repost a video on youtube I would. This video is excellent. I can't tell you how many times I've messed up putting my bike on the sleds. Hell I messed it up last weekend. The whole video reminded me of the first time I went to Bryce and was scared out of anything that wasn't sundowner. Great stuff.

Bike parks can be intimidating in many ways, one of those intimidation factors is more experienced riders. Whether it’s in your head or people actually say/do something, you can feel sorta out of place at times. Awesome to see videos like this.

I totally agree. While many of us don't speak on it. There's definitely a "park culture" with the experienced riders and I don't think any new rider should shy away due to that. They're just stoked on the riding season and have committed harder to it. It is pretty awesome to just sit back and watch how good some riders are sometimes!

I took my wife and 8 yr old daughter there for the first time on Father's Day. They had never ridden a bike park before and definitely have never been doing jumps. We started off riding Sundowner 3 times straight before my wife and I got bored. So, I checked out Brew Thru and Old Fashioned solo before taking them down in tow. The second half of the day, my girls were riding Old Fashioned (slow'ish pace) and Brew Thru (avoiding the wooden drop and the steep switchbacks). It was a great time!

A lot of bike parks have beginner trails and entry level features to build up to. Highland Bike Park has a great intermediate trail called Cat's Paw that has medium sized trail features, with go arounds on all of them. Don't be intimidated by all the videos and try a bike park near you. They are so fun and you'll be hooked.

Cat's Paw is legendary, and one of the best intermediate trails on the East Coast (along with Blue Magic, Jump Start and Gronk). I forget the name, but Thunder has my favorite green trail. It's fun no matter your skill level, and you don't even need to brake. Takes about 15 minutes for a beginner, and if they don't like that trail, they won't like anything. Highland opens 4-28 btw ... Already super excited!
