Fun fact: You can only have one twisted corner. It is impossible to have 2 or more twisted corners. All that means is that x-number of corners need to oriented, and 1 is twisted. There are 7 patterns the corners can be in, and the only way to not have one of those patterns is if one single corner is twisted. If two or more corners are twisted then all but one of them are correct.

If you rotate an edge, the same can be said. Parity issues on the 3x3 aren’t prominent unless said issue was caused by the user. If you take it apart and put it together randomly, there is a fair chance it is in parity. So it’s better to just not turn corners in the first place. My para at my high school did that and I had to explain to him that no matter how you mix it, the algorithm is the same. Also that the corner twist puts it in parity, lol.
@desmondschneider5397

Even on the Rubik’s Connected app, it says if you try to calibrate it with a twisted corner, “colors are wrong or a corner has been twisted.” If too much is wrong, “could not calibrate.” You’ll have to solve it on your own and twist the corners back to normal before you can calibrate it. Just… don’t flip edges or you’ll need to take apart the cube. You can see just by inserting it wrong that an edge trades places and you now have 3 yellows down and 1 in the cross. That, there is no algorithm for.

They can, the average scramble has a minimum of around 17-19 moves to be solved, the most scrambled they can get is 20 moves, like the superflip scramble, but for a speedcuber other things like an x cross or certain patterns can help you solve a scramble faster depending on your solving method, but for the vast majority of scrambles you'll have the same average solve times, even for hand scrambles (just scrambling randomly instead of using a generated scramble)
@tehonlydewd2467

if you are able to take the shortest amount of turns possible to go from scrambled to solved cube that’s called a god solve and it’s not possible for a person to be able to be able to decipher that many turns in advance. people that know how to solve a cube memorize a set of moves to solve a smaller portion of the cube, then another portion and so on until the whole thing is solved. there are a lot of different methods and orders to do this but it basically means that it doesn’t matter how scrambled the cube is as the path you take to solve it isn’t the shortest path and generally speaking will take a similar amount of time to solve no matter what position the cube is in at the beginning

Tools and/or parts of other puzzles must not be used to repair the original puzzle. Penalty: disqualification of the attempt (DNF). 5b2) Any repair to a puzzle must not give the competitor an advantage in solving the puzzle. Penalty: disqualification of the attempt (DNF). 5b3) Permitted repairs: 5b3a) If any parts have fallen out or moved out of place, the competitor may place them back. 5b3b) If the competitor repairs the puzzle but finds that the puzzle is unsolvable later during the solve, they may disassemble and reassemble a maximum of 4 pieces to make the puzzle solvable. 5b3c) If the puzzle is unsolvable, and can be made solvable by rotating a single corner piece, the competitor may correct the corner piece by twisting it in place without disassembling the puzzle.
