Is the Coverdale~Page Album Jimmy Page’s Best Post LED Zeppelin Work? The Story Behind the Album!
Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin & David Coverdale of Deep Purple & Whitesnake famously joined forces and released their one and only joint album ‘Coverdale/Page’ in 1993.
And yet when they released the album, it recieved it’s share of both acclaim and criticism!
As it climbed the charts, critics either praised the album for being a welcomed effort, showcasing both of these amazing artists at their best, or slammed it for being too derisive on the part of both Jimmy and David!
In the intervening years, the album has received more accolades than not, but criticism still remains!
What got both of these artists to even connect in the first place? How did they even approach this project after they initially connected? And is it true that this album is nothing but a weak attempt to sound like Led Zeppelin?
These and many more questions are answered in tonight’s video!
