It's great to see Delta revert to the pre-pandemic presentation of the meal service and the rest looks excellent too. I flew Qantas premium on QF1 and 2 about a month ago and it was bloody excellent so I'll be comparing premium to them from now on and it seems Delta puts up a very good fight!

We have flown premium select multiple times, to and from Korea. It’s an excellent value considering the modest up charge from main cabin fares. He paid a lot for his flight. You can get premium select to and from Incheon for around $2000 if you book in advance. compare the hard product to domestic first class on Delta. As an added bonus, we have often been offered Delta One upgrades for about $1500 each, from Premium Select. Way less expensive than booking Delta One outright.

@@ryanshannon6963likely each way. I just walked through the delta one upgrade for $1000 and I was hoping it was round trip, but it was indeed one way, and the total was $2300. I think I’ll be fine in premium select, which was a little over $2000 from NY to Ghana.

Yes, it’s worth it! My husband and I just got back a few days ago. We originally bought premium select round trip to Seoul. We got an upgrade to Delta One from Minneapolis to Seoul @ $699 pp. Going back we took Premium Select. Since we got to try both seatings we would go with Premium Select again unless Delta One upgrade is given at a deep discount. The difference btw these 2 classes is that Delta One provided extra appetizers/korean side dishes and a slight larger portion. It also provided more in flight snacks. Food was delicious in both flights. However, the services we got are pleasantly the same. The flight attendants were very courteous and polite. Drawback with Premium Select is that you have to adjust your seat in order to get out of your seat comfortably. Delta One is awesome but, I would not pay full price for it😊

Love this video! You, sir, captured the essence of this flight & "the spirit of flying", if that even still exists. My gal pal just returned from a whirlwind, international, business oriented trip to Taiwan. BUT, she began her journey w/a flight to Seoul. We've not yet had the opportunity to get together for me to learn the details. But, residing in the Deep South, she probably took a flight from ATL to Seoul, most likely on Delta. Hence my considerable interest in this ep.💙

I will say, the PS service on your flight looks much better compared to when we flew PS from Detroit to Tokyo HND in October! We had the metal cultary and glassware for the first meal, but the meal was still the economy options and disposable plates (served to us first before they went into Comfort+), and the rest of the drinks were plastic. But it was a cheap upgrade the day of (less than $400) so I can't complain since the hard product alone was worth it for that price.

Given they partner with Virgin the product is very similar to Virgins Premium Economy product. It’s a shame the newer planes have an extra seat in, which reduces width, but probably helps keep the ticket cost down. I consider this more of a 1st class light rather than economy plus which is not always the case with the intermediate class.

I only have experience with Delta Business class, often night flights. Delta used to be fine, but from about 2016, I noticed a gradual decline. My last flight, Mexico-Detroit-Amsterdam, was mistake upon mistake. None of which Delta could not have known, but would look bad in the brochure. The quality of the food depends on the passengers nationality. Mine is not American and I hate the highly preprocessed sauces they offer. Yes, the salat is fresh. So fresh that it did not have time to develop a natural taste. But the vinegar and oil might save you.

I will be flying in this class next month to Amsterdam from JFK .. the front seat have become available … is it worth to switch to the front row .. pros and cons ?
@LonestarTrips
Ай бұрын
Pros are the extra space afforded by the bulkhead row. Cons are being relatively close to the galley/bathrooms and the extra foot traffic as a result, plus a lack of floor storage space. It really depends on how much you value extra leg room. I’m a taller individual, so I’ll take any extra leg room I can get. That being said, I flew in a regular premium economy row on the way back and was comfortable. I’d recommend it, though, as the extra leg room is awesome.

I find the fix seat divider a buzz kill for this seat design. If the seat next to you is empty, there is no way for you to spread out and take advantage of the available space. I prefer sitting in Comfort Plus for this reason.

If a passenger in front of you has their seat reclined, it is EXTREMELY difficult to get up out of YOUR seat because theirs takes up the space you need to get your weight over your feet. The foot rest is completely worthless for an adult with average legs. The food stinks as most airline food does.

The US airlines stink when it comes to luxury and premium seating. They’re too caught up in trying to cash flow every square inch of floor space, which means they suck at it. The foreign airlines own the luxury customer segment. They invented it. I chuckle when I see US airlines trying to compete. Foreign airlines love their customers. The domestic US carriers loathe us. And it shows.

Premium select is not worth it whatsoever! I tried it on American Airlines Miami to Buenos Aires returning Santiago Chile to Miami, both longer flights of nine hours and eight hours respectively. Both were overnight flights and despite taking melatonin, I could not get comfortable in that class of seat. If you look at the price difference between premium select as they called it or just plain premium economy and more appropriate term, Business Class is not that much more expensive and way way better.
