I've been looking into switching to her line as my full skincare regimen. Its all in one, all my skin would need! And its way more affordable than the stuff I currently use

Great review! Enjoyed your thoroughness. Looking forward to more of your thoughts. Just a note: this is meant as a positive thought. It is to give you a positive review, not to put you down. Would be great if you could slow your delivery. You speak much too fast resulting in a galaxy of words. It’s harder to follow your thoughts. With a slower delivery, a more “experienced and professional” sense is what would be gleaned. Though, I understand your enthusiasm is what may be rushing your speech, I prefer to understand your words than having to REALLY listen to understand your opinions. Also, the use of your hands is distracting. Would be great if you could keep your hands out of the camera frame. Having said that, I enjoy your videos. If this is simply you and you don’t or can’t change your delivery or camera presence, it’s understood. I’ll continue to watch your videos! I simply have to adapt rather than you adapting!

Great review and it really is an excellent line. I personally love the light moisturizer, but I have normal to dry skin. I alternate nightly with a stronger retin A and I love the brightly serum. I find the brightly actually works better for me than vit C serums at various price points. I really think Dr.Sam put together a high quality line that gives results with no BS.

It’s so weird to hear you call it a conservative line? Bc it has only the ingredients you need and nothing more? People complain about it being too basic but that’s exactly the point. everything else has so many unnecessary ingredients. A lot of people with oily/acne prone skin would honestly benefit from something basic rather than continuously abusing it with hard acids. I’ve had terrible acne for 10 years and have tried tons of washes and none of them significantly improved my acne besides the flawless cleanser. Put my friends on and they love it too.

@@rm689 I definitely saw an improvement on my complexion, it gave me a glow , my acne scars were definitely less visible, and that was after 4 weeks of daily use, I finished the whole battle and loved it. I did not continue because I do go see a dermatologist because of my hormonal acne and she prefers to have me on a prescription azelaic acid which is 15%. Not a long time of use So that’s all I can speak on, Hope this helps tho

I agree about the Spf, 3 pumps is enough for may face and neck, but I do like it under makeup. I'm oily amd acne prone so the serums are great and the Lip Balm my favorite. But I live in Central America so it's too expensive. Thank you Ramon for the review

I use the brightly and nightly serums and the gossamer tint 01. The lip product, light moisturizer and cleanser are on their way. I love my skincare, and have been religiously using skincare products since my early teens. However i have seen a huge change since i started using her products, people around me notice it too. It made me appreciate a more basic routine.

Great review, thank you!! Do you think the vitamin c derivative in the brightly serum is enough or would you recommend using another vitamin c product or antioxidant product?
3 жыл бұрын
great questions! the ascorbyl glucoside in it has nice antioxidant benefits already, but the bakuchiol and the niacinamide also offer their own antioxidant benefits as well!

I had the same question and I thought a good vit c would be better with a higher concentration but I really feel like the combo she put together worked best for me. Everyones so different with skin care and vit c stability is a bit unpredictable. I switched back to the brightly and I'm very happy with it.

I tried dr sams cleanser, regular moisturiser and brightly. Waiting for tint 02 on sunscreen to be back in stock to try. I think brightly is worth it because of the formula. But the cleanser and moisturiser is a big pass. It’s too basic for the price and the amount you get. don’t mind spending more for brightly because of the effective formula, nightly also sound fab but I use prescription tret that’s why I don’t get it.

The only thing I’ve tried is the lip balm and I’m sorry but I can’t, the product itself is fine but it smells So SO BAD 🤢🤢 I couldn’t even put it on even if I did really like the feel. I had to give it away immediately. I typically reach for fragrance free products and I understand that since there is no masking fragrance than the smell of the ingredients will stand out, I’m all for that, but I just couldn’t with this one.

The FaceTheory Azelaic Acid 15% tingled in the first 1-2 weeks of use or so. Or maybe it’s just the Brightly formula hmmm

Tea. the Facetheory stung me every once in a while too. It’s a handful of actives formulated together, which potentially makes it a little more intense than most are used to right at first, which makes it useful then to have the directions they have to slowly incorporate them

Dr. Sam isn't actually a dermatologist... I don't know if that matters really cos she is a doctor who loves skincare, but even though she doesn't directly call herself a dermatologist, I feel like she wants people to believe that she is, by not being really open about it

Every time I hear you pronounce Cerave I hear sarape, and I cringe tbh. I think it's "cera" like in ceramides and "v" as the letter v.
