His faith IS right. Orthodox Christians individually are not right, unless they follow the rules and cannons of the Bible and the Fathers. Orthodoxy is the ONLY right ✅️ Greek, Russian, Serbian, Romanian, Georgian.......whichever tongues believe and are TRUE to it, are CORRECT, as the word explains......Orthodox!! This man, although commendable on speaking with you and making his confession of faith, he is not an apologist. There are MANY Orthodox Christian apologists online, approach them for a friendly dialogue. If the "holy spirit" is with you, then after you awaken them........they will be "born again!!" If not, you, Christ willing, will leave the heresy of satanic protestantism, which goes against the historical Church of Christ, and return to Christ who awaits you with open arms. Forgive me, brother, a sinner.

Hmm I don't think he was attacking you David. He was just trying to point out that Christ intended one church to exist. and at the beginning, it was called one holy catholic apostolic church. (Until the pope demanded full authority on eastern Christianity) and they simply changed it to Roman catholic. Orthodoxy never changed. Look at the catholic church and their pope today.. God have mercy.. and another thing the guy in blue shirt was trying to point out was the 'speaking of tongues' is simply weird.

@@Jon-fv3uh Your assumption comes from the False Premise that Jesus came to create a new religion and he never once did. He came to call people back to the Torah in fullness and to avoid traditions of men. Which is exactly what the Orthodoxy is chock full of now today. The Greek Orthodoxy is essentially a political institution that wore the facade of Christianity in order to gain state power. The track record of the Orthodox speaks for itself and the ideology is currently full of Idolatry and traditions of men.

I agree that we shouldn't fight but unfortunately sometimes those of other denominations want to attack evangelicals. My husband is Greek Orthodox and he does it all the time. He's not the only one. =( It's very sad. But most importantly the Orthodox church teaches a false doctrine which is sad. I didn't know until some years ago when I visited a monastery with my husband. This is the biggest concern I have. We are saved by Grace not works. However, the Eastern Orthodox (Greek included) believes that it's by faith and works. Yet, our works are mere evidence of our faith not what actually saves us. It's all over the scriptures. Titus 3:5-7 NOT BY WORKS of righteousness which we have done, but according to his MERCY HE SAVED US, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+3&version=NKJV

Guys the most important thing is Christ, he is the husband of the church, the church is all those who unite to be with Lord Jesus and love him, I myself as a protestant agree some things we teach are bad, but there are those who love christ no matter what, same with the orthodox, although orthodox are more split from greek, Russian, etc, there those who love Christ with all their heart just like Lord Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are, Love God with all your heart and Love your neighbor as yourself, and my orthodox and Catholics are my neighbors just because I will disagree with one doesn't mean I degrade them no that's wrong and stupid. All the in-between is just theological disagreement over thousands of years since the first schism of 400s of Orientals Orthodox, to the second the Great schism, and the Reformed schism.

@@ourblissfulhaven this is a straw man of the orthodox position. Orthodox Christianity teaches that belief in Jesus must be combined with putting that belief into action-feeding the hungry, ministering to others, etc. Both essential. We read in the epistles: “Faith without works is dead.” One can indeed “believe” in Christ and yet lead a life that betrays that belief. Hence belief alone is not sufficient. “Not all who say ‘Lord, Lord’ will have a place in my Kingdom.” genuine real faith always produces good works therefore if a faith isn't fruit producing its not genuine its not the works that save you rather its them that testify to your faith. faith and works are inseparable.

Greek Orthodoxy might been this secluded many years ago because Greeks had been attacked and captured by every possible race you can imagine which forced them to only trust each other and their belief in Christ, but it has not been like that anymore ever since their societies were left to live in peace. I'm a convert from Protestantism to Holy Orthodoxy and I appreciate David's courage to go out to the streets, we can all learn from that. But that fact is his sect is a branch of a branch of a branch of Protestantism and that is the Pentecostal branch that focuses on spiritual gifts. Nothing wrong with that as long as it's done the right way. But the problem in Protestantism is the worship is whatever we make it to be and that is mainly based on how one interprets the Bible. Instead, the Apostles, who were all Jews, would have established Liturgical worship which they would have inherited from the Torah and that which the early Apostolic churches have and continue to this day.

This is the problem, we shouldn't be relying on our "opinions" and our own interpreation. This is how badly the protestant reformation has schismed, if your going to use your own interpretation, then everyone will have different teachings. Hence why every single protestant church has different teachings on salvation etc, whilst the orthodox church has that catholic (meaning universal) teaching. Every Eastern Orthodox church agrees on one dogma and teaching, however, yes I agree there are many sinful and bad priests etc (everyone sins and not all of us a perfect, hence why orthodoxy is all about repentance and union with God) but don't determine the truth off that because there are bad people everywhere.

In UK greek orthodox churches have black, oriental and asian people in the congregation and also in the clergy. Greek orthodox church has christened thousands of people in africa for decades and has branches in the far east. When the greek diaspora settled in other countries they formed their own churches in the same way the black community have their own churches. Nothing to do with racism. You may get 1 or 2 ignorant people in congregation but please dont throw out the baby with the bathwater. Really dissapointed david as liked u as a person.

orthodoxy and david's teachings are all the same, both of you for example can't leave old testament law alone in terms of salvation. you want to watch somebody getting "debunked"? what the fuck? you're both clearly on wrong sides and you want to prove he's less right than you? all it takes to destroy your orthodoxy, and david's teachings, is literally proving that even one smallest thing you're both believing is wrong. because faith is meaningless if you don't understand it. Jesus said that he knew who BELIEVED NOT and will betray him. did the apostles know that judas was the one not believing the whole time? hell no, as it is stated, Jesus sent them all in pairs to preach and do miracles all around Jerusalem, judas had to be in pair with somebody, and he most likely was healing people, liberating them from demons, sharing the gospel about Jesus, and many other works. apostles returned and shared with Jesus all the things that they've done in His name, so we know for sure that judas was making many wonderful works and sharing the gospel. why am i bringing this up? because he BELIEVED NOT the whole time, he preached something he had no clue about. he believed in something different, otherwise he would not be able to betray Jesus. how do we know that? Jesus said what will his words be to all the people not doing the will of His Father: depart from me(...)i NEVER knew you. never means never, believed not means believed not, yet apostles had NO IDEA about judas. get your faith straight and start digesting the Word of God, instead of many lies of men. only the ones that understand what wedding is about will come to it dressed in a suit, but the one who doesn't know what he's doing and where he's going will definitely be thrown off the wedding. "11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was SPEECHLESS."

@@christsforgiveness the guy was a bit lost, may God have mercy on him, myself, and you too brother. People do put religion over relationship, yes. Icons are not in place of Christ but point to Him. God honours His saints. Luke 20 shows these people you call “dead”, in Christ are more alive than we are, perfected in Him. Still, intercessions are not a pre-requisite to being a member in the church. I’ve started to listen to stories of the martyrs in ancient Christianity. The endless miracles that this generation could never believe, all to preserve and spread the gospel & strengthen the body; it’s no wonder that the Lord honours them. Coptics had our tongues cut off at spoken Coptic word, by the arabs. These are the people that God used to preserve the church. Remember, before the scriptures were formed was the church - and the Coptic church was an essential part of this. I suppose you think God wasn’t strong or faithful enough to preserve His church after His resurrection? Did it need the reformation to get to the fullness- and still Luther and Calvin (as wicked as they were) believed in more of the fullness than you do. Furthermore, the Eucharist is TRULY the REAL body and blood of Christ. Jesus Christ lost some of His followers in this absolute truth, Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the FLESH of the Son of Man and drink His BLOOD, you have no life in you.” IT IS NOT PRETEND, like the Protestants believe. The Eucharist is everything! Still, there is no religion in heaven. There is one church! Anyone that spreads hate or judgement from the pulpit is a Pharisee in my book. I have not witnessed this from the pulpit in the Coptic church, but it is something I unfortunately witnessed in OTHER churches. Condemning the ancient churches is dangerous grounds to stand on. Sole Sciptura is simply not all there is. There are documents from the fathers dated pre-Bible. Protestants make every church pastor and reader the interpreter, under their own judgement - this is also dangerous. Bishops are necessary taken straight from the apostles.

Church means the people who have been called by Jesus, not the building or even the organization of human. How to know if you have been called by Jesus? The answer is if you have accepted and followed the gospels: "14Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Thessalonians 2). If a Christian or a Christian organization only focus on their rites or tradition, not on the words of Jesus or the gospels, they are a polluted or dilluted church or even not a church, just a human group.

The problem with Protestantism is the lack of an authority that can grant the correct teaching of Jesus. Jesus is the second person of the Godhead, one in essence with the Father and the Spirit. David is a Modalist, which is a rejection and misunderstanding of the Trinity. Collapsing essence (ousia) and person (hypostasis). He basically thinks the Father is Jesus in hypostasis. Also Acts 2:38 is not a Baptismal formula, the reason why in Acts we see instances of being "baptized in the name of Jesus" is to hint to the authority that Baptism is. Not that we need to baptize people in the name of Jesus alone. Protestantism is not a Church, it is a Enlightenment idea. With a bunch of people that disagreeing on fundamental doctrine while telling people to "just believe in Jesus bro" without explaining what that actually means.

Even though I love Holy Orthodoxy, you cannot make that claim, both the Eastern Orthodox and Western Catholics were apart of the same branch, and it was decided at the first council of nicaea in 325 AD which books and canons would be excepted. Yes Luke was the first iconographer, however, there is no evidence that the Apostles ever venerated icons nor prayed through icons up until later on and did not become officially approved until the Seventh Ecumenical Council, the Second Council of Nicaea (A.D. 787), though there are many issues concerning this acceptable practice as many Church fathers were against it.

@@ketogenic_ron There are icons in Greece that are as old as the New Testament! They were vital during a time when most of the population could not read or understand the Gospel. Secondly every church in Greece that was mentioned in the Bible still stands and still are Greek Orthodox, they haven’t changed unlike Theology or so called churches in the West. Think logically, every Priest in the GOC can trace his teaching to an Apostle, these are only two of the many examples of how we know which church is His Church.

@@robertholmes5242first of all, I never said that there wasn't icons within the Orthodox Church, nor do I have issues with icons themselves, it's the veneration of icons that was discussed at the 7th Ecuminical Council where many Church Fathers rejected the veneration. The Greek Orthodox Church is not the same today as it was in Biblical times as their traditions have changed overtime, and the Greek Orthodox Church did not represent all Christians as not all Christians were Greek. The Orthodox and the Catholics need to remember that people followed Jesus before the Church was established, and if anyone claims you need to be apart of any given Church in order to be saved is preaching a false Gospel.

@@ketogenic_ron Whatever you need to tell yourself my friend. I guarantee you that if Paul the Apostle & John the Apostle visited Thessaloniki, Mt Athos, or the monastics in Potmos they would recognize the liturgy there. Visit these places, they still stand, they are the GOC. You say these churches have changed, but that’s a baseless claim, you have no proof. They have been doing the same as the Saints themselves taught them. The Bible isn’t a book of fairy tales. You are deceived if you try to deny their existence or claim they are doing differently without bringing me any proof.

@@ketogenic_ron No one said you have to be part of the GOC to be saved, it was stated in my first comment that in order to experience the fullness of Christ on Earth one needs to enter the GOC. You claim that there have been changes, you point to different councils, I am only talking about the GOC not the Catholic Church, not the Coptic, Not the Ethiopian, I am ONLY POINTING TO THE GOC. One can visit the Church/Monastery in Potmos where St John wrote the Book of Revelation, they hold the Liturgy the same way every week JUST AS ST. JOHN TAUGHT THEM. You can visit Thessaloniki, visit Mt Athos where St Paul taught and the LITURGY IS THE SAME. All these and the other churches in Berea & Corinth as well are ALL GOC. @@MaxStArlyn False!! They've been reading the books way before Orthodoxy. Nowhere in the early church does it say the scriptures is only for an infallible body or an authority. The Bereans are an example. The Bible tells us to search the scriptures to find life. Telling people that they can't read the scriptures for themselves is going against all the early church. People with legitimate Authority are the pastors, bishops, evangelist, teachers, etc. Not an infallible body or an institution because institution fails and they've failed

I was part of a Greek Orthodox Church in the UK which did all their services in English and had more English people and English converts attending than Greeks. And there are many churches like this across and in the US as well. Greek refers to the ‘jurisdiction’ not the ethnicity. David Lynn gets his church history very wrong. The Catholics split from the Orthodox, not the other way around. Rome was Orthodox for the first 1000 years. The Great Schism was in 1054 not 1059. One question Protestant Evangelicals and Bible only fanatics never ask is: “Who gave the Bible?” It didn’t just pop out the sky. (The fact is, is that the ‘Apostolic Church’ and its many Traditions existed before the Bible.) This Orthodox guy in blue is not articulate and not a good debater. I would like David Lynn to debate Jay Dyer, Shamounian, Peter Heers or Josiah Trenham. But he never has the guts to debate a real Orthodox Theologian. He always find random guys on the street who are not articulate and not very knowledgable. Would you have a conversation with any of them David and have the guts to post the video on your channel afterwards for your viewers?
