Man don’t feel like you “lied” to any of us because as men we all want the outside world to think our marriages/private relationships are all hunky dory, even when they’re really not. I’m going through the same thing myself after 25 years of marriage. My son and I go racing on the weekends or hunting during hunting season and my wife stays at home and sleeps most of the time. I’m at that point now to where I’m ready to put a stop to it because it is not getting any better no matter what I do. So please don’t feel like you’ve lied to us and however it turns out between y’all is y’all’s business but however that may be I wish y’all nothing but the best and my son and I will continue to follow you no matter what. Just keep keeping it real brother, that’s what I like about you man. Later….

Not to be that guy, if your wife is spending to much time sleeping while missing out on things she once enjoyed it could be her chemistry is all wacky. Maybe it's depression! Or hell my wife was asleep more then she was awake, turns out she had a thyroid issue!!!!! Took the meds and spunky young acting wife back in just a couple weeks! Don't just write it off man! Go seek help even if she don't feel like ! Trust me if yall have love its way worth the time spent trying to find out what's the issue. I hope this gets to you and hopefully yall will do it and figure out what this problem is, address it and live happily ever after!!!!! Good luck man!

James, You shared so I’ll share. I don’t want to pile on when you’re at a vulnerable place in your life but what struck me and your story was how are you allowed it’s relationship between Stacy and your son disintegrate. You’re the man and head of your household. Example: when you said your son said that essentially you had to choose between him or Stacy in who’s sleeping in the bed you didn’t stand up for Stacy. For strong marriages nothing should come between you and Stacy. Business, race cars, and yes even your kids. Don’t get me wrong I would take a bullet for my kid but as head of my household my wife always knows that I have her back and my kids know that and in return they know that we will always be there for them
@billyclevenger2632

Unfortunately I always have my wife’s back also. But topically it only causes issues if I don’t embarrassingly sit on my hands until I hear her ask for help!!!! Otherwise I’m a Chauvinist and interfering with her issues. And if she was acting just like the kid? Yes getting into that would likely be unwanted trouble. I have multiple marriages and sometimes you gotta stay back. Or all hell may break loose?

I went through 10 years of the emotional rollercoaster with the mother of my son. Going through life wondering which girl she is going to be in the morning is hell. I eventually realized she had borderline personality disorder. She would never face it so it pushed me to break it when my son was eight months old. I watched her and her friends pack up and leave my home with my son in diapers. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do but it was going to drive me to the edge of my breaking point where I was going to get into or cause big trouble. Blaming yourself and thinking you did something wrong and you can fix it is a vicious cycle. Please go get the book “Stop Walking on Eggshells: Taking your life back when Someone you care about has Borderline Personality Disorder. This book will help you understand the confusion and desperation you feel. Best wishes James.

My heart breaks for you all and you haven't lied you are a private person and you have a family to protect. It sounds like that she's suffering from change of life, mid life crisis, depression, etc. Those hormones can have the adverse affects on you. Everything happens for a reason don't be so hard on yourself you can't control everything remember this always, "If it is to be set it free if it's meant to be it will come back to me." My guess is that depression took over when you all weren't able to conceive and that may be when the jealousy came in. I wish my family and I was closer to help you just to be a friend and an extra family to help when you needed they would love it and Brantley would have some friends too. My prayers are with you.

I would say put your wife #1 above everything. Love her and remember Brantly needs to know mom is your rock and you love him but you guys are 1 unit and the kid needs to see that and he will be fine. Family needs structure, not putting your wife above the child puts her last and the kid first. Change your thought process, its ok to show Brantly mom is #1 and still love him but he is not to be put above her. That shows Stacy you're choosing the child over your wife which is backwards. Love her first and it will all work out. Good luck James

Don't feel bad. I went through the exact same thing with my ex wife. It turned out that she is Bi-Polar. She should get checked for it. My ex would never go to counseling or Dr or take her meds. We went through nasty divorce where I did not see my 2 girls for over 2 years. I was in a near fatal car accident and when she found out my TBI won't get better she left me. She left me for dead in the hospital after 5 years when I got CHF from bronchitis, separated and got back together after 6 months. So I sympathize bud, but it will get better. Focus on you and your boy.

Listen James! I’m not stating that I’m a marriage counselor or a relationship expert but. I can tell you that I see some big red flags just from your own admission. You created the whole jealousy issue. You told her to never make her choose between her and that kid because she would loose? You and her are supposed to be each other’s first priority! But by you telling her that, you told her she is never going to be first in your life! So you have her, the boy, and drag racing. That is the pecking order in a true loving relationship.and you by your own words put her last so you will never have her 💯! Of course he told her to go to another bed because you created that pecking order! You also stated that when she needed help you would hire someone to help? So why didn’t you step in and help her? Because by your own words you would rather be in the shop avoiding the whole situation you caused! Of course they are in the house fighting they are in competition for first place and you leave them to fight amongst each other because you don’t want to or can’t handle to hear it so you go in the shop to avoid a situation you have created. You have to be a husband then a father and then a provider rather that be a race car driver or builder or both but that order can never be misconstrued. If your hiring people to fill in then your to busy doing you and I don’t blame her for not giving 100 percent. Why should she. She is not your first and she has been told that she isn’t good enough to be your first but the boy and drag racing is your first then you need to let her go so she can be with someone that will be her first priority and you can be with the boy and y’all can go racing like you said. Or you can admit you where wrong and change your priorities and truly fix your situation but if you truly care about her you will do one of those two things. Because she doesn’t deserve to be anyone’s last priority and if it was reversed and it was her on here I would be saying this same thing. I hope you choose to be her first because those are the vowels you promised and if you do this 💯 I promise she will completely 180 and you both will be happy but you both have to want it for it to work! If you don’t want it then please don’t string it out just be done and you both move on!

It takes a big person to admit and show social media that life isn’t all rainbows and unicorns. When my wife and I got married, we had some issues at the beginning. We tried counseling and other things. I have seen your video talking about your view on God and how you believe in Karma. I felt the same way as you did. Then some friends invited us to church with them. I was very reluctant to go with them at first. We finally went to church as a family, getting to know God, getting to understand God, getting to feel God’s love, and my wife having some friends from church has been the best medicine for our marriage. It has also been great medicine for me. I still struggle realizing that God doesn’t care about my past, what I have said, or what I have done. To wrap this up, I know finding the time to go to church with your work schedule and racing is difficult. But there are some great church services that are recorded every week and posted on KZitem that a person can listen to while working or driving down the road. I will be more than glad to share the link to the church we have been going to if you ever want to take an online listen.

James lot's of respect so don't take this wrong...I'm saying this to share my story. I've been married for 36 years, I can testify that marriage can be the most frustrating thing in life. You have your great time and it can be good times. You also have bad times and terrible times and each one of these emotions can go years and they all of a sudden change the other way for years, Marriage will be the hardest thing you go through in life and it will change and be the easiest thing. I know you love her and she loves you. With what you have is more than most marriages have ... Love. Now your son is at a age he's going to push the limits on everything, he listens to you because he sees you as the authority figure and he see Stacy as the mom he can push around. So how do we fix this? My thoughts would be family counseling. There going to be a counselor to help you with your frustration and a separate one for Stacy and then one for Brently. They will help each one of you to see things in a different lite. They will see you as a whole family as well. They will work on Brently and how he's acting on Stacy on how to approach Brently in a different way and they will help you as well on your frustrations. It works James or I wouldn't suggest it. I can be the biggest a hole there is and I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. As far as getting the snobby remarks that's going to happen, It happens in every marriage its how you decide to deal with it that changes the out come, when my wife comes at me with snotty remark I just punch her....no lol just kidding. I usually just decide to blow it off, even though I may be pead as heck I don't say anything. Another though have you though about finding a mechanic.. crewmen to help you he could do the driving help with some of the car maintenance.

As someone who has struggled for years with depression and extreme hormonal imbalances, I understand that many days seem like a major effort just to get through the day, and for women, that deal is likely much worse. Thankfully for me, I have got a handle on things with medication and the help of a good therapist. That route (if you haven't already done that), might help you guys, or it might not. Sir, one man to another man, you don't owe anyone any explanation about your relationship with your wife. You didn't lie to us about anything. There isn't a man alive that loves a woman who hasn't had some issue to deal with with her. And if any man that loves a woman hasn't had at least one thought about leaving her to avoid all the nonsense that comes with dealing with a relationship, he wasn't really in love. It's almost like a test. It's always when you're on your purpose, she wants your attention but loves the results of you being on your purpose. It's just something you're going to have to work through. But you are too good to not get through it. You got this man

Basically I'm not a parent, But from being a kid myself in the middle of my parents dysfunctional problems, And as a child I had the opposite problem. My mom was my world. My dad was not exactly father of the year material. He was there but not really. And he was abusive. So not quite the same situation. But basically I can tell you from what I went through. Whichever parent is the issue, They have to realize that they are the parent. That child didn't get a choice of whether to come into the world or not. And who their parents are. But an adult should never be jealous of a child. And it's not good for them to be picking at each other. But like they say we hurt the ones we love.

I know you'll probably never read this, but maybe the self centered one is you. Yall need marriage counseling. You seeing yourself as doing the work and her dropping the ball. Maybe you should've listened to what she wanted. Maybe she didn't want the responsibility of your business adventures. You make it sound as if she had no choice, its either you work for me or you don't. And I'm assuming brantley is one of your kid's son that couldn't take care of him. So you decided to bring him in regardless of how your wife felt. Do you see where I'm going? You're the one that's making up solutions that best suits you. I sat here and watched your whole video, and what i took from it was you trying to be the resolver on your terms not hers. Best of luck my friend.

Well shit, it’s hard for me to put my thoughts about this into words and actually makes sense but there’s one thing that does make sense is that everybody has their struggles. I’m far from your biggest fan and also far from a hater, regardless I wish you all the best however or whatever that may be.

The most real, tough bad ass men I've ever met that when I say are REAL, real recognizes REAL , I'm not talk about hot head morons who have nothing and will be nothing, I'm talking the guys that go out there and make it happen , put there head down and grind to get to the goal, honor and trust are two insanely important things in life, the kind of guy who rubs people wrong because they don't sugar coat sh*t and say what it is, have all been hopeless romantics. When men have gone through, seen and done things that had to happen for the best of there friends and familys. Usually have a fire inside that is always burning hot, so when they have a person they can actually care, love and let there gaurds down towards that special woman. The hopeless romantic comes out. It's the same for lots of guys. The ones you would never think are hopeless romantics are usually the biggest romantics, hate to say it but that why men get hurt when they mess with the woman they love. Some guys really really do STUPID thing that ruin there lives and others and if they would of just taken a minute to think they would be fine. 2 things to never ever.mess with and those are 1.) Never mess with a man's ride, 2.) Never.mess with a man's family of ole lady. Hope ever things will work out brother man. An old man told me if u want to make a relationship last "LIVE CLOSE & VISIT OFTEN". remember that fells.

Sorry it didn't work out. Props to both you and Stacey for trying to make the family whole. It takes a lot of patience and self reflection to try and make situations like y'all's work. Unfortunately it doesn't always pan out in the end. Y'all tried that's all that matters.

Absolutely no reason to explain yourself or apologize for anything sir. I don't have much to say cause it's a personal subject but I just want to say keep your head up, you have many things to make you happy to wake up in the morning sir. IMHO you lied about nothing, my grandfather used to say "3 things you don't discuss with others- Love Life...Financial situation...Religion"

Man this video got me. I appreciate the honesty James. At the same man. You don't owe us anything in my personal opinion. Your as real as the race night you were at when the drivers said did you test. You said nope...gonna test it right here! The same guy that it killed him to show Brantley both burnt up race cars. Man I promise a man built like you on the inside is gonna be alright.

Life is to short. Just keep your head up things will get better. I've gone through this and it's a rough road. But you haven't lied to us. You were just doing what needed to be done as a husband and a father

James I have to tell you you are describing my first marriage from over 28 years ago. We even tried twice. I also had to decide to stay miserable or not. It's very hard to give up on something you know has potential. but you can't quite figure out why it only works part of the time. We had a lot of good with the bad, and when I look back I can't say I regret trying, but I am in a much better place now with my fantastic wife of 14 years, 2 step kids and 3 grand children. I hope it all works out well for both of you, no matter which way it goes. I'm just sorry you've had to deal with all this, especially with all the other stuff that has gone on. I'm just a dumb ol' drag racer and fan, but I sincerely hope it all works out for both of you.

I've always pulled for you I think that alot of them did you dirty. I've learned that in a relationship if you want a healthy and happy marriage we need the Lord in our lives. I'm not preaching to you I'm just telling you what I've went through in my life about the same thing you are going through. We started going to church and we are very happy and excited to be with one another and spending time together. I'll pray for both of you and your family and I wish you all the best I believe that you are a good man who has a heart
