My brother is now in ICU with this in Minnesota. He worked at a factory as a maintenance man. They made him go off the line to fix bathroom plumbing and air duck issues. All the workers got sick in January and were all negative on covid virus. So they all continued to work sick...last Friday my brother was air lifted to Saint Paul and has been in a ventilator, dialysis and can't get a MRI to check for brian damage during to a stroke from this.....

I had Legionnaires disease in 2008. I was a train wreck, everything that could go wrong, did. I was in a medically induced coma for 5 days, total kidney failure, multi system organ failure, I got sepsis, internal bleeding from the strong meds I was on...my family was told to bring my son to see me one last time (I was a single mom to a wonderful 7 year old). A few hours after he was there, I woke up, against all odds. It messed me up though, from memory loss to concentration problems from hypoxia, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, migraines, tremors, anxiety, depression, PTSD...It's been more than 13 years now and I'm still not "over it". I finally applied for disability after about a year and fortunately, I was approved right away. I went through hell and back. The symptoms of Covid are very similar to Legionnaires which is why I got vaccinated as soon as I could. I do NOT want to go through anything like that ever again!

My Mom takes Hydroxychloroquine fer her Crones Disease. I would bet they wont mention how widely used Hydroxychloroquine is used to treat other illnesses. Can't say it is good now, because you destroyed it already.

It's because buildings were unused, so water in the ac and showers etc gets stagnant and legionella grows. All water supplies and ac should be tested and treated before reopening after non-use.

Legionnaire’s is not new, has been a known disease causing bacteria for decades with periodic outbreaks making the news feed. This one is not transmitted between people, instead it spreads through mist of infected air ducts in buildings. Since a bacteria causes this one, it can be treated with antibiotics. Easy to look this one up for more information.
@markylon

it's more prominent now because buildings have not been used so much during the pandemic which allows the bacteria to grow in unused water supplies, it's not normally a problem when water is running and flowing and ac is operating. If you stop using faucets and showers and ac then the bacteria grows and when people return to these buildings and use the water it spreads in the air.
