The worst part about this is how terrible it is for the planet. Cruise ships make the most greenhouse gases per passenger out of any mode of transportation, and they’re completely unnecessary. People don’t even go on cruises for the sole purpose of boats; transportation. You can go to a waterpark on land, a casino on land, concerts on land, and restaurants on land. Doing them on a boat is pointless.

Ship* And maybe, just maybe, people enjoy being out on the water. Sure, you can do those things in landlocked places, but you don't get the gorgeous view of the ocean or the chance of waking up in a different place every day. Don't get me wrong, I hate how bad "cruises" (let's be honest, it's humans that are bad for the environment, as they created all of that) are, but it's a dream of mine to go on one. I'd prefer to go on an ocean liner, but those aren't exactly a thing anymore.

My great aunt did this for almost 5 years back around 2000. Even though she owned several houses and thousands of acres in Canada, she preferred to live on a cruise ship. Before she decided to go non-stop, she had a camper trailer and would stay there until the next cruise came in. She was a retired chemical engineer and had worked hard all her life. I can see this becoming a movie plot. Thirty couples ranging from just retired to nearly 💀 decide to live out their golden years on a cruise ship. But the cruise ship goes off course. They run into pirates, who ravage the vessel for anything they can eat. The cruise-goers band together to learn how to fish, and become quite good at it. But not everyone wants to work for food. This was supposed to be their retirement. They begin to turn on one another. As time goes on, people begin 💀 ing, one by one. Nobody knows what- or who- is causing the disappearances…

I was just on a cruise and met a gentleman who “worked from home” and only spent 30 days of a year off the ship! Booked back to back to back cruises by winning them through the casino. I cannot imagine. I will say he did not get the same room every cruise, and would have to get on and off the ship each time.
@DKF_oli
3 ай бұрын
That was my first thought. You’d have to switch rooms like every week or two, take all your things on and off the ship to re-check in, have all your documents (passport etc) re-verified, possibly even quarantine… what a pain.
@ms.tatortots5419
3 ай бұрын
@@DKF_oliyou actually don’t if you book in advance. If you book the exact same cruise and go back to back you can keep your same room too and not have to pack all your luggage. You just get off and get back on (but you get to get back on far earlier than everyone else!) They already come to clean your room daily so it’s not like anything changes. My mom actually has been looking into doing this for quite some time and knows some friends who have lol, she already takes like 2 cruises a year.
