I am beyond done with this undercurrent of BK hate. He has done the Lord's work getting this program out of the dumpster. The reality is, you don't have to like his personality, he is building a foundationally healthy program that will dip and rise to the talent level. Additionally, 1) his contract and buyout are massive. Until he dips below.500, there is no heat on that seat. 2) who would you get to replace him? Where is that money coming from? Cry babies need to run home to momma and stop thinking they speak for the adults.

How is not having any defensive tackles foundationally healthy? How are special teams gaffes in year 3 foundationally healthy? Not being able to to gain a yard in 4 tries? Resetting the coordinators in year 3? What exactly is foundationally healthy about what's going on here? Lol

And 2. You're right that we don't have the money, which is why giving him a Jimbo god tier contract was a dumb move. But since you asked, we could try to go after lane kiffin, will stein, Kenny dillingham, Alex golesh, d'anton Lynn, etc. Pick a hot commodity coordinator, some young blood, and give it a shot. It's not just BK hate lmao. Its legitimate doubt that he can get us to the top of the mountain, with decent evidence. 2-8 in big games against comparable foes.

@@patrickvines2441 Ok, I appreciate you taking the time to respond with names as requested. I am extending a digital handshake as a sign of respect. I disagree with you, but I ain't mad at you. I'm just trying to get LSU fans on the right page. BK is not responsible for Jacobian Guillory getting hurt and outside of that, the defensive line isn't as bad as people make it out to be. He made mistakes with the staff when he came in, I give that point freely, but I am stoked to have the defensive staff we have, now it takes time to bake that into what it used to be. Guys like Breaux and McKinley and Reliford are going to be great players. Offensively, we have struggled more than expected, but the OC left to be close to family. I can't put that one on BK. I can put the talent increase we've seen on the o-line and the TE on BK, that's what he does best and we are better there than we used to be. Seems like the issue is 1) a new center and 2) finding the right back (Durham). I hope I never live to see the day Lane Kiffin or Urban Meyer are our HC. We also are almost never going to hire a "hot coordinator" with no HC experience. The odds are too long you make that work at LSU your first time. I loved Aranda the DC, but he has not worked out at Baylor. A lot of people wanted Napier and that was not the right move either. We did the best we could with what we had at the time. O stripped this house down to the studs and the construction has taken a while to correct. I am not going back to clown days. BK gets to show me what he's going to do with the 25 and 26 class before I bail out. People need to stiffen up and look around. The football world is different and folks aren't in for a Saban era or a season like 2019 LSU anymore. But again, I appreciate your perspective and you answering me straight up. Geaux Tigers!

@@Tigerblade11238 shake returned. He isn't responsible for tank's ACL, but he IS responsible for the depth there in year 3. And he DID make silly comments about "not buying players" at defensive tackle this offseason. It bit us. He IS responsible for our current secondary, which while improved, leaves much to be desired. I am pleased with his offensive line and tight end recruiting, but puzzled that we haven't been able establish a strong run game behind it 3 years in. That's on him too. I don't think he's the worst coach in the world, but I'm also positive he is not earning that top coach salary. The Ed excuse is 3 years old, and while I was ready to fire him after UCLA too, there was a lot of that out of his control, or as a direct result of winning a title. We fired Orgeron less than 2 full years after winning that title, setting a record for draft picks and 1st rounders, losing his coordinators, and not being able to meet with the incoming freshman or coaches due to covid, and not being able to backfill as easily with NIL and transfers with no waiting period. But it doesnt matter, bc his job was to win and he didn't. I want the same standard applied to Kelly. That's all. --- urban Meyer and kiffin is a WILD comparison lmao. Urban Meyer had rampant violence and criminality on his teams, in his staff, and chaos in his building. Lane has a spicy twitter account. Not the same. --- we might not hit on an unproven coach (I definitely didn't want Sunbelt billy), but Kelly was supposed to bring fundamental soundness and program stability. Whatever the reasons, we are not fundamentally sound or stable. Simply special teams errors, extremely slow starts to games and seasons, and unfocused plays have been hallmarks throughout his time so far. And roster stability outside of the offensive line isn't a plus either. Guys like sark, heupel, leipold, golesh, etc have flipped far worse roster situations quickly. If it can be done at Texas, Tennessee, Kansas, USf, etc, it can be done at LSU. Losing to Lincoln Riley was kind of a referendum on the hire. No, it isn't terrible. 10 win campaigns, even if kind of hokey, were impressive. But he couldn't get to the next level at Notre Dame and we don't appear to be headed there just yet. Maybe hes just a 7 mil dollar a year coach and not a 10. I won't quit cheering or supporting, but I'm gonna hold him to the same standard we did Ed. Compete for a national title. We had one glorious night vs alabama and eeked out a win in Columbia, Missouri..... And lost 8 other games when the talent was comparable. Not looking great so far. Let's see how it plays out.

@@patrickvines2441literally every one in the summer of 2023 had LSU's defense as a much watch, and Matt House as a rising star for a HC job. No one predicted the meltdown that happened last year. No one. You'd be lying if you said you saw it coming after 22, where your defense is what saved you in multiple games. So the reset there was much needed, but not by any means expected going into the year. As for offensively, you have virtually the same staff but move QB coach to OC and had to hire a highly touted TE coach. So this is not even close to the same "reset" at defense which has all new coaches at each position and coordinator. I'll give you the special teams gaffes. Even the lack of push in a run game. Though LSU hasn't had a dominant run game since at least 2019. 2020 to now has been virtually the same (lackluster) and that's under different strength, OL, and head coaches. I'm not saying you have to love BK, but dude stfu on this "we could hire Lane Kiffin, or.." KIFFIN IS THE HC OF OLE MISS WTF DO YOU MEAN HIRE HIM!? Same with Kenny, he is a Head Coach at a P4 program. Offer a fucking legitimate suggestion rather than some fan fiction you stroke off too in your head. Let me edit after reading dude above me comment. If you meant hire Kiffin, Kenny, etc. Instead of BK. Then you are still stupid. 1. Kiffin was still the HC at Ole Miss at the time and arguably had a program heading in better direction than LSU. The fact this program ended the year with 38 scholarship players in 21 proves that statement. Ole Miss went to a fucking Sugar Bowl. Furthermore, I would not want some unproven coordinator or group of 5 HC cutting his teeth at LSU. We are not Notre Dame. We are not a fucking stepping stool program to launch your career at. Again, your comment is fucking dumb.

Want a locker room that quit on the coach? 2020 LSU vs. Bama. You were being blown out, and the dudes were joking around on the sideline, no fucks given. And that carried over into 2021

I don’t believe yall would tell us the true 😂 I don’t think the locker room is loss.. but Jake wouldn’t tell us the truth because one he is a former player and depends on access to coach BK and the players for his job and two.. LSU media is constantly lying to us.. we were told.. O line was the best and we were hyped on the defense and how good Joe Sloan is 😅by the LSU media.. Us LSU fans are dumb.. yall gotta start holding BK feet to the fire

You’re calling Jake a liar. What are you thinking he saw in the locker room? You think he witnessed players disrespecting Kelly and is just lying? People are just want to pile on Kelly because things aren’t going as well as we hoped this year so far.

It was written by John talty a former Bama beat writer who is now a 247 senior writer. That said yea I can’t trust anything written about LSU from a Bama homer.
