No luxury is here to stay. People will continue choosing what works for them and what doesn't in this realm. This honestly isn't a question for those that can truly afford it. For the rest of us working class and middle class folks we will do what we can, as we can. I do believe that luxury doesn't equal quality and many of us have already known this, which is why the Dior issue is not a surprise. At this point any bags or SLGs that we buy beyond necessity can be considered a luxury because we truly can live without it. Great video ❤

I think we live in a time where we can create the aesthetic we want, whatever our budget is. We can find an abundance of whatever our preference. Not only in bags, essentials, novelties, decor or fashion; but also in our relationships and social interactions that surround our ideas. We can find people on multiple social platforms that are like minded. So, to answer your question, my opinion is the gap has now closed between budget and luxury. Gone are the days of only having a few options in my price range and then 2-3 very cheap & cheap "looking" selections, and then the price jumping to high end that I can't afford. There are options for every price range and budget. And(!), payment options. If I like the style/characteristics and features of a luxury bag, I don't have to save and wait on that bag. I can easily find a similar bag from another place that has the same style, colors I like, that I can afford. Plus, there are a plethora of people to help me find just what I am looking for...and information on how to get it on sale or money back! Love your dress! :)

Beautiful dress! That’s been going on with luxury brands and some affordable ones as well.

Love your dress!!! I don't think luxury is over but the rate we use to consume luxury has slowed. IMO, the rise (or resurgence) of high quality and stylish contemporary brands (polene, coach, DUYP, Brandon Blackwood - so so many brands) are competing with the luxury houses more fiercely than before. The recent Dior news though is very unsettling so it’s given me pause when it comes to the brand. Great video!

Cute dress! I think people are going to buy. Even the expensive bags. The good thing about buying luxury bags, they will replace things that have a defect months after you've used it. I know what you mean about seeing pink bags. I'm always wanting it. You're so right about the Neverfulls. My first one was in the $700's. It's crazy. It's just so expensive. I got two luxury bag at the beginning of the year and they were so expensive. I also got Luxury Gucci sneakers a month ago and love it. The rest is contemporary. I'm actually saving money to buy another luxury piece.

Luxury definitely is not over. It's like fashion, it will go in and out. As long as their design teams are keeping up with trends, it will still be in. Now those prices.....that's another story. For me Chanel is definitely out....Hermes was never in....Gucci....maybe...YSL.....out....LV...maybe....

I’m done spending money on all of these items regardless of the brand. I am still downsizing because I want to be able to use everything. Too many items are not being used. 😕😒

I don’t think luxury is over. Some of these luxury houses have been around for over a century. They sell ready to wear items, luggage, and home goods. They have levels that cater specifically to the wealthy. I appreciate the commentary. 🙂

I don't think luxury is over. Women will still buy the world's most recognizable bags from the French and Italian houses. I do think that some women will go quiet luxury more and more. I watched for the past 4 years as luxury brands kept raising the pricing on their iconic bags. If I were an uber wealthy woman, I would refuse the Birkin, Kelly and Caviar flap because at some point, are you ripping me off? It does not take 11,000k to find a bag that will last a lifetime. That said, I am still not done with buying handbags. I've just started to appreciate brands like Polene, Songmont and Cuyana more and more
