The report is a propsal. It is going to be tabled in Parliament where it will be debated. It is not law. All Jamaicans can then offer their views. It is, I reiterate not a law.

Even though I left secondary school in '74, I'm still brighter than many in the opposition. They all seem to take most Jamaicans for fools. Thank God for the opportunities in the UK, which made it possible for me to return to school, college, and university, and now I have a degree.

Mr. Vegas the issue with the hike in salary can be viewed a little differently than your perspective on it. That hike was discussed by and agreed upon by both sides of parliament with one member of the opposition saying on camera that he was in full support with it. When the backlash came from the public the opposition behaved as if it was forced upon them. I do not like hypocrisy. It was used to score political mileage. If the opposition had rejected the increase from the onset then they would have much more credibility. Integrity is everything.

He has no choice in the matter, as his father was a British citizen, thus he automatically inherited British citizenship. However, he has the personal choice to do the right thing. If he truly loves Jamaica and his loyalty lies with the country, then he should renounce his British citizenship. His father did not aspire to be the Prime Minister of Jamaica, so he didn’t need to renounce his citizenship. Do you believe Mark Golding should govern Jamaica solely based on his father’s legacy? What has Mark contributed to Jamaica? Why doesn’t he return to England and play football instead? It’s absurd to suggest that he will be the saviour of Jamaica. If he were genuinely committed, he would renounce his British citizenship because that is what the constitution requires.

Jamaica has seen more development in the last decade than at anytime, in every way, under any Government PNP or JLP, yes, I agree that massive pay rise was not a good move, most of us was against that, But the opposition leader and his party in parliament did not opposed it, They took Their share of that pay raise without much objection, Like you I believed that either Lisa Hanna or Damion Crawford should be leading the people's national party, I heard that Mark Golding and Peter Bunting who're both partners in a private business promise the PNP delegates millions if they voted To make Mark Golding the next president of the people's national party, However after winning the vote and becoming president they never saw a dollar of that money that was promised, So, if that is correct, Mark Golding won by bribing those delegates to vote for him, Mark Golding used his white privilege to Jump the fence into Jamaica's parliament, telling us lies that Commonwealth Citizens with dual citizenships are permitted to serve in our parliament, And most of us who've never seen or read the constitution believed that lie, in section 40.2 A, & B, The Jamaican Constitution clearly prevents any person with dual citizenship from being nominated or elected, Not just people with U.S Citizenships, But people with Commonwealth citizenship as well, The trick was to quote section 39, which is the Qualification section, 39 tells us who can become eligible, but 39 is subjected to the provisions Sets out in Sections 40, 41, & 42, I don't know why some of our people believes that Mark Golding care about them, this is exactly how some of us behaved on the plantation back in the days of slavery, because of this behaviour of defending Massa, That 's why we stayed in slavery so long, some of us are behaving like traitors, and whenever people like Mr Vegas try to show them the truth, They try to discredit and attack him for massa, you're perfectly right, Jamaica is the only Commonwealth Country with the British king as head of State, But no Jamaican can enter The United Kingdom without being given a Visa, Another thing that we must be mindful of, if the PNP's Should win The coming election before Jamaica becomes a Republic, They can amend the Constitution, to make it say anything they want, and could stop full decolonisation for decades. They can amend the Constitution with a simple majority in parliament.person with dual citizenship The current Jamaican Constitution does not give any person, from within or from outside of the commonwealth the right to be in our parliament while holding dual citizenships, Section 40.2 A, & B, prevents that from happing, But people have been violating the Constitution and getting away with it, every person with dual citizenship in our parliament is doing so illegally, That is why back in 2007, The PNP's took around five JLP's MP's to Court, and the Court Disqualified them, Now in 2024, if anyone took the matter to court, citing section 40.2 A, & B, The Court would have to follow the Constitution, and do the same again, However, the Court can only act, if the matter was taken to court. There is precedent on this matter in Australia. read Sue vs Hill over at Wikipedia.
