it is and will be, its the cheapest true monitor stage monitor user such as studio producer or musician dont want any extra bass etc on their iem so that they can tune everything easily, and hear everything correctly monitors also great for normal usage, you, like above, also hear everything as they are recorded

IEMs are being used by nearly everyone and more than flat sounding reference IEMs everyone likes balanced ones that doesn't have exaggerated bass.

Yes, kind of, it doesn't dominate the BlackStar but the treble and extra transparency gives it the upper hand. The problem is, it doesn't compete with either JOMO 408H or Craft Ears Aurum, it isn't in the same league anymore.

The Major problem with the Mest2 in my opinion is the the ear tip issue. You can swap ear tips but the bone conduction really only works with the included tips. I have tip rolled my set for hours but the midrange and bass only give depth with the originals. So do NOT loose them. I also wish I had a nice gold/copper cable to smooth them. The Effect Eros 8w seems a little too energetic IMO.

Using the stock tips only. 😬 And no, the Mest mk2's BCD wasn't good enough. That's why they made Mext.
