As a Filipina, I can confirm that Pea's answers were on point. May I just add my POV: First, a man's wish not to be married and not to have kids may be considered as huge red flags to a Filipina. This may indicate an inability to handle/maintain a long term commitment or worse, a sign of trauma, irresponsibilty or even selfishness...and second, viewers of this channel would mostly address concerns on a Filipina's attitude/character/ perceptions. Men need to also evaluate themselves too especially on the topic of HYGIENE. Make sure that you also look pleasantly good, properly groomed when facing a woman, from the simple things like taking a shower once or twice a day, shaving or smelling fresh by using anti-persperant deodorant, etc Grooming matters to women too! To a Filipina, a bad hygiene can be a deal breaker🙂 that'a all!

Hey Pea. I am a PWD and I am married to a Filipina. Most if not all you say is true in my case. Most of the population does accept me and the population makes getting around easier than in the west. Everyone here is more than willing to lend a helping hand. So although sidewalks and buildings are not accessible, I don’t have a lot of trouble getting around. My wife does not treat me as defective and truly loves me. She makes my limited money stretch. In the west, I was alone and lonely and now I have a full normal life. Thank you.

The trouble with "willing to lend a helping hand" is that it only goes so far. Most modern manual wheelchairs are under 15kg, so total weight including user can be as little as 60kg or less, which is quite easy for a couple of people to lift over a few steps or a broken pavement. The average power wheelchair is about 140kg, so we're talking somewhere close to 200kg total weight at least. Having people lift that is completely impossible in most situations.

Re disability: Yes. It's rare to see wheelchair ramps, and many streets have narrow sidewalks if any. But, I'm not disabled, but I'm an old man, and people here are very helpful. Once my wife and I went to see a waterfall and you had to wade through a stream and climb over rocks to get there. Complete strangers offered to help me navigate it. Stored and government offices often have an express lane for the old, pregnant, or disabled. So it's a mixed bag.

Everyone around her is stunned by her beauty, and she is hit-on constantly. While we are very close right now, it is a very scary proposition to think about hot having her in my life. For now, we are just taking it one day at a time. I love her for the attention she shows me. So tender, reassuring and caring. The key here is giving her the same or more than the attention she's giving you. Filipinas don't like being ignored so you have to make sure you shower her with lots of it, and don't make her doubt your love by staring at other pretty women. Filipinas are loyal to their partners so you don't have to worry about that because she'll only see you and only you when she's truly in love with you.

6 years. Living in Manila? You're one of several ATMs. You never met her in 6 years. Come on man, you're living in a dream world. Why did it take you SIX YEARS to meet her? It's only like $1k for the flight, TOPS, AND you're going in the cheapest season, the hot season when few tourists go so the prices are cheaper. And Filipinas are used to living multiple to a room, you should be fine to stay at her place if you've got no money for staying and eating etc. You really need to drop the idea of getting married at all if you have nothing to give her. And if your excuse is you'd lose your job- then your job means more to you than she does.

Thank you Pea for answering the disabled viewers questions. A few years ago I had a stroke and sadly have not fully recovered. I appreciate your honesty (about everything!) about the Philippines infrastructure. In Canada I can rely on my local bus service for rides as they have a separate service for handicap customers. Part of the problem with disability is you begin to see yourself as "less than" and you wonder why some lovely Filipina woman would be willing to settle for you. Unfortunately, that is a feeling that no amount of external validation is likely to resolve. Despite a Filipina's beauty and charm (or maybe because of it!) a disabled person will always feel like his partner has better options. Thanks Pea!

In general women want the 4 Ps....provider, protector, procreator, and priority. Don't fool yourself, it's a universal thing ingrained in most women's DNA and you will not be able to change it. So accept it and then decide how it fits into your world.

The love and commitment from a true Filipina, is not governed by what we think of in other western type nations. There beauty is incredible, but they're not arrogant about it, they are just happy with any blessings they receive in life. And so they just want a true gentleman, and many young ones don't know it or even if they do, it is not always welcomed elsewhere. So us mature gentleman who do take care of ourselves, shows to a Pinay the correct attitude they want in there guy, and they will stand by you, and there is no such thing in distraction to them, as they love from the inside to us on the inside, and how the outside is, is just a reflection of yourself and how you live.

Infrastructure that’s hard to navigate will be a difficult thing. I’m thinking of how sidewalks don’t have curb-cuts, and how a sidewalk will be a different height in front of each different building. So, even somebody who is 100% ambulatory on his/her own legs is very likely to have a tumble. Many places have an open sewer right next to the road, so falling down can be worse than a person might think.

I've lived in the Philippines for 20 years I have literally seen. THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY!!!. My eyes are fully open.......... I have experiences with friends and family that are very telling of people's true colors.. Many people come to the Philippines and they're here for a month or so and they are definitely in the, HONEYMOON PHASE and look at everything through rose colored glasses. It takes a long time to get broken into the reality of the Philippines and living there as a foreigner. You are always going to be the outsider. No matter how much they kiss your behind in the beginning. Unfortunately people do respect you if you have a lot of money. Unfortunately the rich they are tend to treat the poor with a healthy dose of contempt. Sorry if anybody disagrees but I have seen so much. Thank you miss Pea

When they find out I own a small technology company they act like I am a better person and more important-it's sad. I ahve seen rich Pinoys REALLY talk down to people like they are trash as they were wealthy-it was sickening. There are stories of maids being beaten too by rich people-NOTHING surprises me there. I am an investor there and do charity work for dogs/cats there. My girl is there, but we are getting a place in Thailand as we both like it there better.

Pea, In 2003, I used to be on a thailand forum. I used to redpill men on female nature. This one guy on the disability pension in the UK was in a wheelchair from childhood. He met this Thai girl online. He was on the forum & was getting married. He met her 2 times. The first time they met, they got engaged & spent one month in Thailand The second time they met one year later, they got married after paying a huge dowry & spent 1 month together. On saving up for the third trip to see his wife, he landed in Bangkok & his wife ghosted him. I warned him that it was just a financial relationship. However, he never blamed her. He would blame her family for her ghosting the husband. He went back to the UK & never visited Thailand again.

Dowry's are negotiable. I paid a small dowry to my Thai in-laws up front and agreed to pay a little more when we were married 5 years, and the rest when we were married 10 years. We divorced at about 4.5 years, so all they got was about 10% of the full amount. They are poor farmers, so I would've helped them anyway.

@@TheFilipinaPea In my opinion, if a Western man wants to marry a poor Thai girl (or Filipina) with awesome family values, her poor family and a traditional dowry (if that's part of her culture) are part of the package. If he doesn't like like it, find a girl with awesome family values in his own country and his own culture. If you go looking for a wife from a different culture - her culture is part of the deal, not just the bits you like.

I'm a wheelchair user and I'm married to a Filipina. I've spent a lot of time in-country. The accessibility in PH outside of the cities is pretty bad, but Pea is right - Filipinos have an amazing attitude towards disability. There are a few who have made some disparaging comments as I've wheeled past, but it's rare. Filipino culture is so deeply rooted in being caring and kind - there's a reason they make such great nurses and caregivers! When I first met my wife's parents, I was understandably nervous that they might be uncomfortable with their daughter being in a relationship with someone in a wheelchair, but they couldn't have made me feel more welcome. My wife is fantastic when it comes to helping me with the things I can't do. She knows exactly when and how to help me (and when to let me be a stubborn ass and try to do things on my own), and NEVER makes me feel like a burden.
