Very interesting! Fpv cam at 20° but gopro at 30°. Do you find yourself looking at the down a lot when speed boosting/gathering speed? I'd be interested in seeing a side by side fpv/gopro video showing what you see. That's been my biggest challenge finding the best cam angle that balances easy speed and control
@VIKFPV

Not often. I do use speed burst at times for tricks I need that extra speed for but overall 20 degree is enough and is not too fast to the viewer

That would have been such a wise thing to put in the video, as a "beginner"...I run 20 deg with a 30 deg mount also, Someone once said I fly fpv like a plane pilot, I think its creates a wider and smoother appell instead of a "look at my mad skillzz yo!" type of video which I think can wear thin quickly. my Instagram acc is "southernhawknz" maybe have a look and tell me what you think?

This is the comment I’ve been looking for. Confirmation that your fpv angle is lower than the GoPro angle. I’ve been hesitant to switch back to 20 from 30 since I always thought the fpv and GoPro need to be the same angle and I prefer to keep my GoPro at 30 to keep the props out of view. Guess I was wrong. Back on the sim for a few hours to relearn my tricks at 20 degree fpv. :)

Hi Vik, thx for the video ! I was surprised by your GoPro settings : your videos are posted in 1440p/30fps but your camera is set on 1080p/60fps. I understand the upscale for better KZitem encoding, but do you do anything special to reduce the framerate in postprod without altering the smoothness ?And of course, why not shooting directly in 1440p/30fps ? thx mate !
@VIKFPV
4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Basically I film it in 60 FPS so I can use the footage in more variable method. For example if I want to slow something down I have an option to do. You can create a project with only 30 FPS and put an 60 FPS filmed footage and final cut will turn your 60 FPS footage into 30 FPS.
@jejefpv
4 жыл бұрын
@@VIKFPV Thx ! That's what I thought (concerning slow mo. ability). It is good to know that a 60fps video shot at 1/120 shutter speed can be tranformed easily into a 30fps video that looks like it was shot at 1/60, I was thinking it could loose smoothness 👍👍👍

I'd like to start learning how to dance my quad near trees like you're doing. Am I right I should change my fpv camera angle from 35 to 20degrees? I feel like it will be hard to make my quad slower at 35degrees. I mean I can but it will always be looking upwards. Thanks for the video.

You should mention the gopro session 5 bug that if you set the shutter to manual it will keep the settings until the cam is powered off. With the next start, you have to set the shutter first to auto and then back to manual. Otherwise the video won't be sharp.

Hi bro, thatnks for your great videos, and I think is a great idea that you're gonna do these gear oriented videos now that we are confined to our homes :p but thi time I'd like to ask you a question that does not have to do much with gear: how would you recommend me practicing trick connection?
