We were there last November. I saw Seti's tomb and love it. My husband saw Nefertari's tomb. Both were so worth it. If you will only be going to Egypt once, don't miss out.

I was there in July. It is definitely worth the fee. There are no words to describe the feeling as you stand in the middle of the tomb and take in the beauty of it all. If memory serves, the Egyptian government only permits 120 people per day to enter. They are concerned about the damage that co2 might do to the interior of the tomb.

I don’t know the exact numbers, but you’re right, they limit the number of people inside to preserve the tomb. It is so beautiful-glad you got to see it!

bro I think you might do a more videos about the marine life in Egypt , it is extremely underrated we have one of the best diving and generally beaches in the world in Dahab , marsa allam , hurgada , sharm el shelkh and some toursts really prefer marine life more than history
@EgyptAdventuresTravel

Yes, totally true! There are other channels that focus on that (check out Egypt Made Easy for one example), but my focus is more on the historical sites and the cultural experiences in Cairo and Alexandria. But one day I hope to do more on those places.

Thanks for this update on the cost! What was the ticket price in Egyptian Pounds? Yes, it is a fascinating place, and the tombs you can visit with just the entry ticket are also nice.

unfortunately the tomb was closed the night before we were to go as they noticed some pealing. Instead we went to Seti 1's tomb. I was disappointed for sure we couldn't see Nefertari's tomb.

I'm going to Luxor next month, im goig to valley of the kings, hatshepsut temple etc. Is there a way to get there with public transportation or is it mandatory to get a tour? Thank you
@EgyptAdventuresTravel

Not really a way to get there with public transit. My first time in Luxor, I rented a bicycle and rode bike everywhere! It’s hot, but it was a fun and cheap way to see the sites independently. There are lots of places on the West Bank for bike rentals, or ask your hotel.

I have taken a week holiday in Hurghada and was wondering if a day trip to Luxor is worth the time and money spent?
@EgyptAdventuresTravel
Жыл бұрын
It depends--if you are in Egypt just to relax on the beach and do scuba/snorkeling, then no, but if you have any interest in ancient history, Luxor is a must visit place! You can do a day trip from Hurghada, but I would recommend spending at least one night in Luxor.

Hey Gus! Do US travelers need to keep passports on their person whilst touring Egypt or is it okay to keep them in the hotel safe? What obstacles will my 6'7" hubby face other than obvious doorways, train berths, and man dress( gabiyyah). Thanks for your wealth ok knowledge
@EgyptAdventuresTravel

Hey Elizabeth! No need to keep your passport on you (it can stay at the hotel), but I’d recommend having a photocopy on you if possible. Other than the things you mentioned, I don’t anticipate anything else besides the Pyramids and tombs being tough.

The Pyramids might be a challenge for some one that tall. A lot of bending over on longer passageways.

How beautiful Do you know if the student fee is half the 1400 egp fee?
@EgyptAdventuresTravel
Жыл бұрын
That's a great question! I am not sure. Have any of my viewers heard about a student ticket option for Nefertari's tomb? I know you can get a student ticket of the Luxor Pass, which includes the tomb, and that is half price from the normal Luxor Pass...

Yeah, it kinda is. 😁 Nah, I'll say it really is worth it! I think I paid $90 last year, so not surprised it's gone up a bit. You can stay more than 10 mins if they're not busy. Also, if you cough up a little extra, you can take a few pics. 😏
