Now that I know the truth about health and healing, that getting sick - especially getting a cold- is your body's way to release mucus/ acid wastes, I would NOT try to stop it.Why would anyone want to keep waste matter in their body which could later on lead to chronic and degenerative conditions? Especialy if you are detoxing, I would encourage it and be HAPPY about it. In fact I would help it along drinking water with lemon, other citrus maybe even eating horseradish, ginger and cayenne pepper to loosen the sinuses. If I had it with me, I'd use a Neti Pot to loosen my sinuses and do ear candling if I could . For stomach bugs I would make sure I had taken along some Slippery Elm Bark Powder which is a mucilaginous herb/food that soothes/heals/normalizes the digestive tract and is EXTREMELY HEALING for ALL GI tract related problems from constipation to diarrhea to vomiting to any ailment affecting the mouth to the anus. An extra nice thing about it is that it is extremely gentle. It can also be used externally to help relieve itchy or sore sores, cuts etc and speed healing. There are other herbs and a homeopathic remedy or two I would bring. This video by author, biochemist, Naturopathic doctor, Master Herbalist, Dr. Robert Morse on the science, and art of DETOX you might like. Dr. Morse is one of the few TRUE BLUE PURISTS out there who only recommends using 100 percent pure species appropriate food and whole herbs grown in Nature - not man-made isolates that most "natural food supplements" are made out of. . kzitem.info/news/bejne/wImNrKKkp5peimU

Cool video! As a Local I agree many things and really enjoy your travel videos. I agree with your perspective of the graffiti it would look nicer but it has gotten better and now some nice street art can be found especially in Barrio de San Ramon. The walkability I would have rated little Higher considering this is Part of the Experience of being in a Colonial Town that was built over 450 years ago...it's like going back in time! You can also walk everywhere you don't need a car really unless you go to the beyond the periferico. Also being here for a long time and never been bored San Cristóbal and Chiapas in general has so much to offer...there is just something about this place making it one of the Gems of Mexico. Also to put some perspective of language there is a large population of Indigenous people and for them Spanish was a second language...lack of English gives a more authentic experience...much less Touristy vibe like Playa del Carmen or Cancun.

I respect you guys, but there is one thing you probably know already, if you're going to visit another country, you learn at least a little of their language and history, you don't expect them to addapt to your needs, you are the foreigners, I did it when I traveled to the US and it was great. Now San Cristobal de las Casas, ancient Villa Real de Chiapa, is the hometown of my father, so arguing about the good and bad of it would be just senseless since I wouldn't really see the bad cause I love it, but as a local, I accept and respect any constructive critic, thank you for a great show. I cannot fathom how anyone could consider moving to Mexico....and NOT want to learn to speak Spanish. Unless they plan on moving to Cancun--and even then, a moderate level of Spanish would be essential to live and survive on a daily basis.
@TangerineTravels
5 жыл бұрын
I think most people want to learn but there's a lot of people who don't put in the effort that it takes to learn. If you're living in a place like Ajijic or one of the popular coastal tourist destinations, it's easy to get by without Spanish, and with a big expat network, you'll have a lot of friends who already know how to do just about every task you need to do, like refill your propane, for example. We've already seen it quite a few times where someone wants to learn the language but because they can almost always fall back on their English, their learning progress is either slow or non-existent even though they may want to learn. But, then there are others who just say "I'm already X years old, it's too late, I'm not even going to bother trying."
@w00tw00tDude

Really Good Summary! I'd add a few comments to your ratings: Traffic really depends on where you are. The Periferico Sur is always backed up. As far as people, you really have to understand the culture of San Cristobal I think to understand attitudes. San Cristobal has a very rocky history especially in relation with the indigenous peoples. The Ladinos, Mestizos, and indigenas still have some hidden tensions. We made a video about it on our channel. With Safety, we lived there for 7 months and it was very safe. We went out at night often, and walked many places. The crime rate is comparable to Boise Idaho (not very high). A lot of the "Danger" people talk about with Chiapas is related to the EZLN and indigenous people's getting upset at the government. We never had one issue, and were there for half a year, we visited the small pueblos around the city often and always felt safe. With that said we did hear of violence in the small pueblos at times, when they were fighting amongst themselves. Weather definitely gets cold in the winter. Our favorite time of year was the rainy season.

Hello guys.. didn't I tell ya that you "could have done it better" with the $10 dollar challenge? 🤣🤣 Regarding your gradings I think they are quite accurate for european/US/canadian standars, since a lot of the people living there, first they came as tourists from these parts of the world, and then fell in love with SCLC for most of the same reasons.. Regarding the "grafitti" in your videos, most of them were from political demonstrations, and since they happen pretty often, most people don't bother in painting their homes each time.. In another video (or was it in FB??) I wrote about the importance of coffee growing in Chiapas.. and that it has a very high quality.. also the hot chocolate made from organic cacao is just a delight.. I don't know if the friends that you mentioned in your trip to Villahermosa are expats or mexicans, but they don't seem to be from around here, or they would have given you better pointers for this trip.. maybe a longer (safer) route, or at least explained to you the different kinds of roadblocks that you could have encountered (that you actually found a lot).. How can we get your videos in a date order? They skip all around and we would like to follow you on a current basis. Also, how far down the Yucatan are you going? Would there be any chance that you would slip over to Belize and check it out???

Hi Gini! The easiest way to watch everything in order is with this playlist: kzitem.info/door/PL_1iJW4YPFcOC0-nOx5H5bzk7OZ76ZNoC As for how for south we're going, our plans are pretty up in the air. We do want to visit Mahahual, though!

The graffiti can sometimes be a nice staple to the culture. I grew up in LA and graffiti art can sometimes be looked as an artistic expression but I can understand how it might be alarming as it might be related to gang activity. Anyway, another great video! Hope you get better soon Maddie! Safe travels! ❤️

I think street art with spray paint can be pretty freaking cool. But it seemed like most of the graffiti here was just defacing property or spewing political opinions. Is there a vomit emoji? 😂

I know you have your own car, but how is public transportation? Is public transportation available to get to the waterfall/ hiking areas?

I would dare to say that graffiti doesn't necessarily transfer or translate into crime museum I say this is because I grew up in juadalajara and when I was 13 14 year old kid we kinda formed a quote-unquote gang very benign but one of the things we had to do was paint a wall what do you think I painted my goddamn name on the corner of my street like they weren't going to know who did it we were kids there was no malice and a lot of that graffiti you see might be that not saying there isn't a couple of crazies in there but generally I doubt it it just looks very unsightly

With Google Docs you would need to administer the site for false posts. I believe these categories need to be added: Medical, Food (eating out). I am sure other people will add to it. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and fun Christmas Season.

Unfortunately, we may never know. It could have been an environmental exposure like a broken bulb, maybe eating fish, or a number of other possibilities. I personally think it was the shots/vaccines I was required to get before high school because that's when all the issues started and progressively got worse from there.

@@TangerineTravels Mercury is in many of the vaccines. I know I saw a difference in my son after one of the vaccinations, I hate it. So many died before the vaccinations but the mercury just crosses the brain blood barrier.

Serious question Maddie, with the numbers on your test, you do not or did not have an old watch or mirror from a grandma or from the late 1800s or early 1900s did you? Those metals where used in various paints to glow or be bright colors. I don't know if you will see this. otherwise if you find the mine with the 3 metals you could sell it and retire. Chelation therapy can be so hard, I am amazed at how active and happy you are, you are an amazing young lady. Jordan get that wrapped up for life or you will regret it.
