Starlink (SALE thru Oct 5th, 2024) is selling equipment for $299 that's a $200 savings for the kit that has everything you need and $120 per month. The mobile and home equipment are identical I'm told but if you go to an area where its not on sale theyll charge you mobile price per their website but if its a covered sale area they don't. Check out the coverage caveat to make sure u don't get charged more on the go.

Starlink has a very high startup cost. One user reported having had to spend over $900. Doesn’t sound like it’s time to sign up for Starlink for struggling families. At an $130 per month, I don’t see a lot of people wanting to change over.

It is the difference between having internet and not having internet. I live in a rural area and already pay that for a wireless internet setup where I get 17v3^. If Starlink is viable, I can find ways to finance the upfront cost. It may not be suitable for families on a budget, if they have the convenience of hardline internet then it wouldn't be necessary for them anyways.
