I like the "controlled environment" aspect of weights. It's very effective for bringing about progression in the various different strengths associated with armwrestling. Table time is more haphazard and *might* slow down the optimal progression of strength.. but the technicality/table IQ gains make such a risk a worthwhile tradeoff. (And this really depends on how much you destroy yourself on the table)

Agreed, especially your point on technicality/table IQ, which is why I heavily endorse table time for beginners to early intermediates. Although from the 3-to-5-year mark, I believe the controlled and measurable nature of weight training likely bears more results. - Greg 👊

I second you on the 1RM multiples time when sparring until pin. Everyone can see that happening live during our live stream. While the senior pullers work on their technical perfection thru discussion.

Exactly bro, it’s a good thing they have you as a coach/mentor! But of course, akan sentiasa ada lelaki yang ego tinggi 😅 - Greg

Absolutely 100%. I figured this out the hard way and I tell people the exact thing on a daily basis but people do not want to listen. Getting ripped open for two hours straight is only helping the guy who is ripping you open. Either find someone weaker than you or find someone to train with who will actually listen and “train” on the table with you.

Yes! It’s just sad to think about how many guys have been setting themselves back for months or even years due to this lack of knowledge or just plain ego. Hopefully the newer generation of pullers take a step in the right direction! - Greg 👊
