Connection between long covid and EBV reactivation? I don't understand why that isn't crystal clear obvious. Just take my case. Long covid symptoms improving, then slam, mysterious fever syndrome with sore raspy voice and swollen lymph nodes is the neck. Fever for three months and high upper body muscle pain, all brand new. Classic EBV. Honestly, I hate even contributing my own experience. Does no good, and too sad.

I just found this video cause there's not much info on the long term effects of EBV. I got mono in high-school. I'm 37 now and I got Covid last Jan. I'm so sick all the time. Ive been tested for everything but they always tell me everything looks good. I run a low grade fever, headache, ear pain, extreme fatigue, bowel/ stomach and bladder issues, shortness of breath, even chest pains, swollen glands, sore throat and neck pain, weight loss, etc. It's debilitating. I can't work and can hardly be a mom anymore. I just got an EBV test and it was 750.00. The positive is 21.00. Now what??? I need to know what to do next to get better. I feel like I'm dying and my Dr's don't know what to do cause there's no real solution since the 1960s discovery of this virus!? It's literally ruined my life. If anyone is experiencing what I am or like it, reach out. I need a support group or something. And if I can help anyone, I'm all about it.

I can't imagine still being a mom of younger children with this. I know logically that it isn't true, but I feel like I am dying as well, and not depressed. Once the EBV came in to the LC picture, the thing that I can't deal with is horrible muscle pain. Well, I'll deal with anything, but pain is tough. Previously totally healthy, not even over weight, prior to this.

The common denominator for chronic infections is the great undiagnosed disease of our time, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, caused by herpes EBV. Thyroid is the metabolic machine of energy acting directly on all cell mitochondria. With stress events, thyroid hormone production can diminish and not do its work of adequately running the body, weakening the immune system, making it more susceptible to infections- all of them. Every antibody has a receptor for T3. Without adequate levels of the metabolic hormone thyroid, chronic infections happen. 60% of hypothyroid cases are missed and those treated often get inadequate replacement. so plenty of patients for the system. As usual in these talks with these EBV specialists, the word thyroid isn't mentioned. So indirectly low thyroid levels drive chronic EBV and long covid. And yet in discussions of long covid or chronic EBV, the disease of hypothyroidism isn't even mentioned. I call it censorship.

Monolaurin hasn’t been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a treatment for any medical condition, so there are no standard dosing guidelines. Dr. Jon Kabara, who first reported on monolaurin and now markets it under the brand name Lauricidin, suggests that people age 12 and older start with 750 milligrams (mg) of monolaurin two to three times per day. From there, he suggests they work their way up to 3000 mg, two to three times per day. These recommendations are made from Kabara’s clinical experience only and aren’t supported by any specific research. The company’s website says children ages 3 and older can begin taking Lauricidin at very small doses and work their way up to a larger dose.
