The best machine is the one you can carry with you. I think it is Fujifilm's best camera. I bought one and I'm using it. I sold my X-T5 machine. Light weight, anti-vibration in the body, light weight in the 40mp sensor 16-50 lens. I definitely think it's worth the price. Thank you fuji.

as owner of xt30 ii, happy for this price, it means my camera keep value, and in general, its not big deal to change for xt50, even if you buy new camera, for 1400 you can buy xt30 + good prime lens. So tnx fuji)))

So I'm interested in the X-T50. My biggest deal-breaker, however, comes down to the custom recipes. I know the Film Simulation dial allows for stock film simulations. I was wondering if I can still store my own custom recipes (such as those found on FujiXWeekly) in the Q-Menu? I can do that now on my X100v and I really would like to continue this practice if I move over to the X-T50.

Yes it does, so it is not a deal-breaker for you (or me!). 🙂

You can store 7 Custom settings. You will need to put the dial in C to get the right film simulation that you stored. I got mine friday, and I love it!

It is a very nice camera but it is way out of my budget. I wish Fuji would make an entry level camera to rival Canon's R100.

@@-grey Your Canon isn't a Fuji X-T50. Not sure why people would compare Canon to this Fuji as they must have no interest in the unique features of the Fuji. Why bother looking at a Fuji in the first place? If the resulting raw image is all you are interested in then you can save even more than the R8 by getting an older model camera. It'll give you the same IQ for a LOT less, chuck your image into LR and create the look you want, done for a fraction for the cost. People miss the point of Fuji, it's really puzzling to me.

where I live, considering body only the XT50 > Xt30II by US$730 is it worth such a huge price increase? I think not. Fuji is using Apple strategy over charging consumers.

It is for me, IBIS, 40mpix, improved AF = easy sale. When readily available, I am buying it to replace my Fuji. The X-T30II remains available for those on a budget.

I have an x-t30 and love the film simulations. It adds another level of fun. I use some of the in built and also have a few programmed in. The only downside is that there are quite a few I can’t programme in as they’re based on ones in the x-t30ii onwards not on the x-t30.

That is correct. If you need it to be weather-sealed you'll have to spend the extra to get the X-T5.

The difference between the two models is that the X-T50 costs 500.00 more. I don't think the X-T50 is worth the extra 500.00.

My question is: what do you use the x-t30 for? I use it as an all-around camera, and the fact that they replaced the mode dial with simulations is a deal breaker. That 700 dollar price difference is enough to get some nice lenses which remain more important than an improved body. Technically for 700 dollars you can get a lower x-txx with a nice lens, providing that you're ok with older tech and second hand
