I just wanted to ask you, I left the ICOC in 2003. Regarding getting restored, what do you think about the ICOC?
@TrueDisciple115

@@TimKHobbs that’s a good question, I’ve heard a LOT of different answers about the ICOC saying it’s different and not like the ICC. The problem with that, for me, is that they are still considered a “Christian Cult” by doctrinal standards such as holding to pelagianism which I do greatly disagree with and should rightly be called heretical as it always has been throughout history. So short answer I would not recommend the ICC and the ICOC to anyone and recommend to stay away from them

@@TrueDisciple115 Thank you for your response and sharing your perspective. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain your stance.I understand the concerns about the ICOC and ICC being labeled as cults and the theological disagreements, such as Pelagianism. Those are valid points and I know they carry a lot of weight when it comes to the teachings of any church.That said, my personal experience with the ICOC back when I was a member didn’t give me the impression of being in a cult. While I understand that it’s been called that by many, I never felt trapped or coerced in any way. The reason I left, honestly, had more to do with my own struggles with sin. It was a personal battle, not one tied to the church's teachings or structure.I’ve been away from the ICOC for quite a while now, and I’m just trying to reconnect with a community that prioritizes discipling, repentance, and a real dedication to following Jesus. I think the structure of discipling and accountability that the ICOC offered was something I respected. It helped me stay focused on my faith and growth. While I understand that there are concerns around their methods and theology, I don’t take the term "cult" lightly, and I never personally felt manipulated or spiritually abused.That being said, I’m in Costa Rica now, and there isn’t an ICOC church here, so I’m looking for something that will push me spiritually in the same way. My goal is to find a church that takes discipleship and repentance seriously, not just going through the motions.I respect that we might differ in our views about the ICOC, but I’m grateful for your input, and I’ll definitely take your thoughts into consideration as I continue my spiritual journey. Thanks again for your time and advice.

The fact that he also states that evangelism in one generation is evidence they are the one true church is such a foolish statement. Where in the bible does it say that? What happens when this generation ends. Does that mean the next generation os imvalid? Lastly, which generation is he talking about? The 70's, 80's, 90's 00's 10's? This statement os far to vague to make any sense at all!

@TrueDisciple115 Indeed and another thing I came to realise. They talk about 'seeking God' but focus on 'making disciples' as the priority as if by doing this, that's seeking God! But in doing so, they take away any spare time to actually study the scriptures and know God better. They even tell people that getting involved in bible studies helps you to know God better! Wrong! You get to know God but reading his word, praying and obeying his word!

@@A-uz3uj they would say that but they are DRASTICALLY different from the ICC and their exclusivity. One of them would be “rebaptizing”. The eastern orthodox would NOT rebaptize unlike the ICC. plus I disagree with them for a couple reasons, biggest one being view on original sin
