It really depends on the user. Your skill and your desire to wield it is what makes the difference. You can make magic on any device as long as you got that itch to create something dope. I would use either a Maschine device or an MPC or a Casio keyboard if I had to. Lol. If you can make noise you can make music… it’s just that simple. I used garage band on my phone to make beats when there was nothing to use. lol. It’s all about the drive and how you are able to manipulate your skill to bend to your will.

It's so true!!! Some of these producers can make absolute heat on their phone using bandlab! It's all about creativity and what inspires you!!! for a long time I was only using Logic Pro X, but I found that I'm more inspired using hardware!! it really is all about your personal preference!!!

Titles video "Is the Maschine MK3 Still Worth Buying in 2024" proceeds to make a beat using mostly 3rd party plugins for both synths and FX 🤣

Well most plugins people use for NI are third party. I assume he’s mostly showing the workflow and beat orchestration mainly as a controller, without doing it as a stand alone.

Watch - How to Use Everything in MASCHINE MK3, Beat Making Masterclass (Part 1), (2 & 3) - 3 separate videos) by Boris Mezga its in the Native Instruments channel - absolutely the best tutorials and walkthrough of MK3 power - so much easier than reading the manual or watching snippets here and there 😎

It still has beats in it. Sure. Maschine devices aren’t for me but they still can make music. Why not? They do need to get their users what they want. NI seems to have gone asleep on the Maschine front. I’ll stick to my MPCs and DAWs.

Would not buy at MSRP. Would buy an MPC One, unless you wanted to use it in a PC-based workflow - particularly if you want to use it to control a 3rd party DAW (they work amazingly well with Bitwig Studio). Otherwise, I'd just get a Launchkey MK3 or Oxygen Pro. Those pads are usable for production. Or... save $250 and get the Nektar Pad Controller for $350. $599 is hilariously overpriced given the current market positions and the competitors out these days (MPC One, Nektar Aruba, PreSonus Atom, etc.). The Mikro is more attractive given the price point, but I'd just get the Aruba for $100 more, personally.

Thank you for the video. Does the MK3 have a key detection feature? I'm not a musician, so if I sample something, I won't know what key it's in. The new generation MPC's have that key detection feature, which I assume makes it easier when knowing how to match your bass to the sample.

It doesn’t have key detection but, u can change the key of the sample to whatever key u want it to be. In the zone section of the sampler (on the 2nd or 3rd page I believe) u can set the key and then tune the sample back to its original tempo… or find a new tempo🤷🏽♂️
