I've had mine for nearly 10 years now. And since then, bought an Austrian C414 a like and a Lewitt 440. And the 102 still gets used and acquits itself well.

Great mic. But I must be honest with that money I would buy the 540 subzero from lewitt. 700 dollars and it comes with the accessories, as shockmount, windscreen and pop filter.

@@studio_person For the past 2 years here on the channel I’ve done quite a few reviews. Mics: Neumann TLM102, Rode NT1 4th Gen, Rode NT1 5th Gen, Rode Signature Series, Aston Origin, Lewitt LCT240 Pro, LCT 440 Pure, LEWITT Pure Tube, Lewitt Ray, Shure SM7DB… Interfaces: Apollo Twin X, EVO4, Audient iD14, iD24, Lewitt Connect 2 and Connect 6.. Takes a lot of time and money to make these videos. Thankfully, some of these companies have been kind enough to send me gear to review. At the end of the day, I will only review products that I have used and/or recommend to my audience.

For vocals, after mixing it won't make a difference

@@realprodpreston thanks for sharing your thoughts 😊 I’ve watched quite a few comparison videos between the TLM102 and the TLM103 and at the end of the day, in my opinion, it comes down to people’s budget and sound preference. The TLM103 does have lower self noise and it is the “industry standard” for voiceover for example but it costs more and it is a much brighter mic. So for people with already very bright voices and a lot of sibilance, the TLM102 may be a better option.
