Personally, when I tried it out for a test drive in the dealership. I think it's still pretty good. I'd be thankful enough if I have an R3 bc I only use an R15 that's not even mine

The R15 is sold in markets that also generally have much more lowered power cars / slower traffic, so in those areas an R3 still feels plenty powerful and sporty. In Nortth America, average traffic has atleast like 200hp, highway speeds are easily 120-130kmh. R3 doesn't have enough power to keep up with those kind of cars and honestly feels kind of dangerous at highway speeds.

If the power is enough for any application then why should they add more. And the Ninja is not lighter, its heavier. The 500 now gets a lot more torque from the updated engine but at the expense of character, it no longer revs out like a sports bike. I know the power-hungry market's been pressing Yamaha to up the engine displacement and it will probably succeed, which is unfortunate because this little gem of a bike is damn near perfect as it is and there are as absolute ton of advantages of having a small engine and only one con, performance, so back to what I was saying earlier,if the performance is enough then why go for a bigger engine.
