In an interview, the series showrunners highlighted three “alloys” at work in season one. This video will explore each of them in light of the season as a whole, taking a careful look at the apocryphal Mithril origin story (The Song of the Roots of the Hithaeglir) which I will argue is actually a lie of Sauron.
The three alloys of season one:
- Mithril (Good & Evil)
- The Raft (Sauron & Galadriel)
- The Rings (Sauron & Celebrimbor)
