Thanks so much for the review regarding what your wife thought about the passenger pillion. I have been looking all over the place for information about that and have had very little luck. Your review really helped me out a ton thanks so much!

Great Review. Very detailed. Try a 2 piece seat, put a touring style pillion on, and run the solo when you want the style. Or try the road sofa. I personally like the Mustang touring seat and so does my wife. I was told a long time ago, about seats...Style= no comfort. Comfort = less style . Sometimes the solution ends up being that you have 2 seats. Holds true from what I have found. The Mustang Super Deluxe Touring seat is soooo very comfy, But it looks like it swallowed the Street Glide.

Hey brother! Would be so thankful for your input on this.🤘🏼 Absolutely love your videos as you talk about all the problems that I personally will face when swapping my Breakout for a Road Glide, and also that you are so detailed in both showing and talking about what you are doing in your videos. About the extended Step Up. After seeing this video I think I’ll go custom and actually have someone here in Sweden duplicate this exact seat BUT move me upwards maybe 1 - 2” inches along the rear fender and also therefore backwards 1 - 2”. I’m about 6’9 (205cm) and do realize that custom solutions like the one above just is a must for us big dudes. Bars is easily sorted, probably 16” riser with reversed pullback (no?) as I’ll build a performance road glide. Seat as described above. But the foot controls is a big question mark for me. I think I’ll be forced to ditch the floorboards and convert to some kind of super extended foot peg system.. I just can’t seem to find anything. Could you please do a video on this showing your research and knowing from regular extended floorboards to the furthest forward moving foot controls you can find? Me and alot of guys out here are being held back by this one thing on the Harley Touring models… Alot of respect brother. Thank you and be safe!!🙏🏼🤘🏼

Orale good video Homie, I just did a review on a seat just now, we gotta keep our ladies good, we do a lot of touring every year so she has to be happy, my new seat is 13 inches wide for her, the old one was 12, but this new one looks sleeker, hopefully I didn't waste 700 bucks.. lol, Cee U On The Road..

Bro. I'm. 6'4 " 295 I glued to my screen hoping the seat would work out for you . If it did then it would be a great seat for me. When you sat on it and compared the two i knew the outcome wasn't going to be good. I said a few bad words too . I roll the RG with the stock seat . Talk about getting bunched up . What I hate more than the stock seat is believing I'm buying a true tall man seat . One that's comfortable and pushes me back three inches or more . Good luck mam , keep me posted please . Thanks for sharing Pete

Yeah, the Saddleman had to go. I did get a Bad Boyz Cyclez extended freedom seat and liked it a lot. I then sold that street glide and now have a road king and tried out the Harley Tall Boy. It’s not bad at all. I feel I gained a good 2”. I also paired it with a set of Tall Boys Cycles floorboard relocation brackets and now it’s even better.

There are two different versions of the Harley Davidson tallboy seat. Just look at the description. One says it will send you back 1.5 inches and the other says 2 inches. Just make sure you get the right one.

Does this come in solo? I just purchased a 2022 Street Glide ST. At 5 '3 it is hard to find a seat to satisfy what is need. I had an super extend solo for my Fatboy and it worked perfectly, however that seat does not fit my new bike.

I don’t think the Saddleman has an extended solo seat but I would recommend checking out Bad boyz Cyclez freedom series extended seat because that does come as a solo seat and then you can purchase the matching passenger seat if you want.

Its a great looking seat and has plenty of support for the rider...But gel-insert or not, I'd feel really bad for anyone(especially my wife) having to ride any distance on that passenger area. I use a Corbin Dual Tour on my Victory and my wife has no problem with the passenger area.

I feel like you're comparing apples to oranges. From watching the video, it looks like that stock seat is wide and mushy, didn't push you forward at all. The Step Up has a firm lumbar area designed to really hold you in place. The Step Up version with extended reach can be compared to the regular Step Up, not that stock seat. I've got a Step Up and it's not the seat my lady prefers, but it looks great to me. There are other seats that are better for the passenger.

I mainly wanted to show my body position on a stock seat compared to my body position on an extended seat for tall riders but the Saddleman extended seat did not really feel like it pushed me back further? I was a little disappointed with this. And I hoped that the added cost for the gel in the passenger seat would’ve made it more comfortable but it did not help, as my wife still felt like it was extremely firm and too narrow for her comfort.

Is it possible that the gel reduces the reach?
@DieselLegiance
2 жыл бұрын
The seat comes standard with gel in the driver seat. It’s an option for the passenger. It does sit the driver taller by roughly 1” give or take. The extended reach felt less than an inch and was not even that noticeable. Im not sure why, the seat just did not position me where I thought it would. It’s probably a combination of extra firm foam and gel. It was not comfortable in my opinion.

@@DieselLegiance I appreciate the input. I’m also 6’3”, also coming from a Dyna and bought a Street Glide Special and I’m also looking for a seat. My wife rarely rides with me so I’m leaning towards the Le Pera Outcast Daddy Long Legs GT3. I couldn’t agree more with how bad it sucks to buy a $500 + seat and hate it after a couple of months. @@DieselLegiance sorry to hear the seat wasn't what you were after - our seats do require a small break-in period ( typically about 350 miles ). In addition, the Step Up is a great day seat but for two-up comfort we suggest the Road Sofa line as it is designed for maximum rider and passenger comfort. In addition, the Road Sofa has our Gel Core technology in front and rear where as the Step Up has it standard in front for the rider. Let us know if we can help with anything moving forward.
