I just found your channel. Excellent content Sir. I have the new Blood Burst color version coming this week. New Guitar Day!! 2 questions: I love the Graphtech Ratio Locking Tuners for upgrades, your thoughts? 2: What specifically is the name and version of the Engl Fireball 2 and cab that you use. I am a huge Schecter fan and that amp just sounds great. Thanks for everything. New subscriber now. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Nevermind, I see all the links in the description. Got my dumb move of the day outta the way now. Playing through a Boss Katana Artist MkII right now and I love it. I'm also using Stringjoys out of Nashville for my strings. 10-13.5-20w-28-38-50. The wound 3rd is fantastic, so are the strings. You can select your own gauges for the same price.

Thanks for checking me out! Sweet about the Blood Burst. Excited for you! Enjoy that. Thanks for the tip on Graphtech. I haven’t swapped out the tuners yet but shopping now for them. I’ll give those a look too. Glad you hopped on board. Hope to hear from you again in another video!

Really great review. Love the incorporation of the sales staff at L&M. Loved seeing that as a fellow Canadian. Did you find the neck shape on this guitar to be overly flat (kind of like the Ibanez wizard necks)? Cheers!
@LonelyRocker
Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, I'm here to represent Canada the best I can and L&M is a HUGE part of that. Considering the neck is called "Ultra" thin I was surprised that it still has enough meat on it. Still a little bit of a curve that I could call it a soft D and not too flat in my opinion.

Imo the pickups are the only down side to this guitar. The neck and fretwork are superb. I wish it was tung oil instead of a gloss finish on the neck. FYI you can rewire the pickups for splitting if you would rather have it instead of the active/passive or v1/v2. I did and was pleasantly surprised.
@LonelyRocker

I know there are different opinions about those pickups. For em they are different than anything I currently have so they work really well for me. Yes, I know I can rewire the pickups but was comparing stock configs for the videos. Thanks for watching!

@@LonelyRocker I figured as much I just wanted to let you know in case you were interested in reconfiguring the pickups ... Especially now that you're a proud owner of one! I complain about the fluence moderns only because they lack the full roundness of a passive alnico 5 or something similar, but I do admit for lead tones they do a really good job of cutting through the mix without much EQ. Cheers and thanks for the reply!

Great Guitars these! The quality on these is amazing. And really well spec’d hardware for the money! I had the C7 and truth be told I really wanted to love it but I just didn’t.. I can’t speak much on the 6 string but with the 7 I really did not like the weight of it.. It was almost as heavy as my Les Paul. It just didn’t feel like a modern metal guitar in that aspect compared to others like Jackson, ESP and Ibanez.

12x16 compound hmmm - I've toyed with the idea of that. Pickup selector switch = blade (this new flam-dangled terminology - lol), the more I learn the more I realize how little I know. Impressive - but still leaning into versatility (if it were for me - that is). But funny thing is - a neck can change everything.

The one thing I absolutely hate about this guitar is the open pore back. How easy will this thing ding if you accidentally bump it on something? I’m sure it’s a sick guitar, but that’s borderline a dealbreaker for me even with all the other insane stuff this thing has
@LonelyRocker
Жыл бұрын
I've actually considered that. But truth is, no guitar is immune to buckle rash. I'm pretty good with my guitars because they rarely leave my studio. No zippers or buckles when I play and I make sure guests adhere to that rule. So mine should be OK. But if you gig with this guitar I'm sure it will show signs of wear. But hey, battle tested guitars get beat up but still play well.. ;)

That's craziness to me. Feels SO much better than a placticy poly finish. Dings won't matter at all between this and a poly finish...
@minstrel9806
Жыл бұрын
The guitar still has a poly finish on it, it's just that the wood pores haven't been filled so it gives that raw wood feel on it. It's not any less resistant than any other guitar with a satin finish out there. If you want a well protected guitar you should opt for a gloss finished one, neck included. Ibanez has been making those type of finishes on its Prestige lines since forever, most EBMM guitars only have oil and wax finish on them, Kiesel just uses tung oil on their bolt on models. Even if it looks like that, the wood is not exposed.
