Strange places part 6
According to Ior Bock's story, a golden goat weighing 288 kilograms was buried on the island of Karl Jarlepur (Kajaani's castle island) in 987. Bock is told in Bock's saga, which also features familiar characters from the Kalevala.
In 1990, a group called Diggers of truth dug a pit in the castle yard on a Friday night in October. According to the legend, there is a golden buck weighing 288 kg in the area a few meters deep. The diggers reported the pothole to the editors of the local paper, on Friday. The newspaper's editor reported the matter to the police.
