It makes absolutely perfect sense ... You are giving the Mother so much positivity & in return you are getting it back in abundance ,it's as simple as that. I know people whose gardens consists of a lawn ,they cut the lawn religiously every week, sun comes out the 'perfect' lawns die, turn brown ,the little borders dry out the uniform rows of hybrid flowers ...... Now the gardens with trees & diversity & wild flowers & so called 'weeds' ,the gardens jam packed with flora & many insects absolutely thrive in the sun ! ....'What you give is what you get' . We are the eyes & hands of the Mother & the Mothers hands are never idle. We human beings do mirror her completely, it's like looking in a mirror ,look after yourself & feel great.....let yourself go & feel awful. Same same. Thank you for sharing ✨❤️

Colette, I do believe it is as simple as, “you reap what you sow”; if you give you shall receive. You have dedicated yourself as caretaker of one small piece of Mother Earth and she has surrounded you with her abundance. She smiles on you, she thanks you. There is no other story, you have it right. As you endure to share your blessings, may it continue to behove others to sow and reap their own gift from the Mother. Thank you.🙏

Dear Colette...what a surprise! After one more exahusting day confined, here at the extreme South America, in Porto Alegre, trying not to think only about Covid, taking care of my mother with cancer, feeding hummingboards , cambacicas, sabiás and other birds, the rain finally arrived after months, weeks, days and hours waiting. Plants recovering ravishing we could see through the window. At the same time we're getting the most serious moment of pandemia. Insomnia is always around... but, suddenly, through your eyes, your voice, the birds choir, the wind...almost feeling the smell of May flowers I realized that I was being taken to a meditation state of mind. More than that, Nature was talking to us. And, while watching your images, I could here inside: we are part of Nature! We are part... we are One! Gratitude!!! Send all my affection to Jack , with those tiny bright eyes full of real Love for you! And I understand him!!! Blesses!!!!

Colette, I can understand your search for a rational explanation for the wonder that is Bealtaine, but surely, and it is so plain to hear in your voice, when you first saw that poor piece of land you fell in love with it, and you have loved Mother Earth fiercely, tenderly and she has responded to that...pure and simple...love! Blessings to you and Jack the lad, from Kaye in Australia.

You've inspired me to share that I have made it my mission to bother city municipalities where I live (in Vancouver BC, Canada) about their unwillingness to protect the trees of the urban forest. Recently, there has been a wave of development here and the older, smaller homes; often on properties full of beautiful old growth cedar and Douglas fir, are mowed down. In their place, people are putting in McMansions that take up the entire perimeter of the property. Any space left in front is paved. It makes me physically ill every time a new one goes in. And yet, municipalities happily allow it and collect the money. These houses are the complete opposite of an sort of ideal IMO. My dream is to live in a tiny cabin on a large yard that I can fill with trees - in harmony with nature. If we all did this, there would be so much more space for wildlife, but also the herbs and understory plants. Yet, there is so much need to control. People want sterile lawns, devoid of life and it is frustrating to observe. As Diana Beresford Kroeger says, if every person planted one tree a year for six years, we would stop climate change in its tracks...

Quite a few years ago I visited the nestwood forest Northern Ireland. It was quite by accident that the force called me and the car I was driving to it. The pictures of Bealtaine Cottage remind me of what I saw on this gorgeous Woodland with the raging Burntollet River. I'm a California native and I have an oak Woodland that the wild flowers are starting miss as delightful as yours and I live in a enchanted Redwood Cottage Sitting on the northeast corner of an acre. You give me hope that my trees will get very tall in 7 more years. I'm also inspired to make rooms sitting areas. I'm really interested in growing vegetables in my little area mainly in pots. Gophers love them too. Your land is really beautiful what you have created.. Thank you dear goddess for sharing. Many more blessings and happy Valentine's Day, MaryAine🌿💖💃🏻💖🌿

Beech trees are my favorite tree's .I looked the woods all around my farm and the neighborhood, all were too big . Finally found one , it's now happily residing in my backyard. Took a while to get going but shoots up several feet a year now. Had a huge one in my childhood home, yard . Apparently it was the 'thing' to carve your initials into them . My childhood tree had them all way to top , some dates from the 1800,'s . I aim to put mine on my new tree . Maybe 200 years later, someone will see them and wonder who I was. Blessings to you all Jack.

Oak Tree! I spent a couple years in the Manistee National Forest, living while going to a new site every 16 days. The forest there is hardwood and every once in awhile you find a red pine plantation. The only thing about living out like that in a tent or small camper, is the weather, and other people. Never saw a mountain lion, no bears, lots of deer and porcupine, raccoon. The other people generally were few and far between. But there were lots and lots of oak trees. After awhile had gone past, I began to receive instructions about the weather, which standing dead trees could be used for fire, oh good spots to fish or set up camp....the instructions came from the spirit I called Oak Tree, it seemed logical enough that I had somehow learned to listen while out in the forest. The forest has a voice and is my friend, I call him Oak Tree.

Lovely. It reminded me of a very small print run of a book that I read many years ago and still have. A small passage at the end ".....the creatures of the world gather together in Council. One by one they step forward to clarify their work in the service of the Earth. One stands in the background and at last steps forward and haltingly addresses the assembly. "We are confused" he says, "what is the purpose of human beings?" The animals and the plants are surprised. "Dont you know? It's so obvious!" "No" replies the man...And the other creatures respond. "Your purpose is to glory in it all. Your job is to praise creation". From Fire and Ice by Laurel Luddite and Skunkly Munkly. Your videos are a meditation in themselves and are a blessing in these peculiar times. Thank you.

The density and diversity of Bealtaine is what holds it through a drought. The trees have had a chance to get their roots deep and the bushes are protected from the direct sun because of the trees. You truly do have a beautiful and magical woodland. Earth is very aware of those that are in relationship with her and she provides abundantly to those that foster alignment with her energy. It's quite normal to those of use who have always followed that energy since we were children, but could never explain it. We are just now beginning to understand the power and majesty of this tiny little blue ball of rock in the galaxy. Blessings to you my friend and for rain soon. Hugs to Jack!

Since I've been listening to you, we have ducks, hawks, crows, pigeons, squirrels, opposums, songbirds, lots of worms, and bees galore. We had a pond for years, and because of drought here in CA, the land was very dry and brown. So far I have been working on our backyard on a normal urban city block. Hi Colette, yes,Jack is such a treasure, we lost our beloved Tess 4 yrs ago(20 yrs young) and Jack looks so much like her, and to see him running up and down is so lovely, what a beautiful boy he is! Love to you both xx

I too love the beech, especially the copper beech. They grow to incredible heights! Your clematis is beautiful and I have never seen such a tall lilac! (my favourite) I intuitively understand and feel everything you say and do as I know that I was born with roots on the soles of my feet, connected to Mother Earth and that has only gotten more so with each year I am blessed to be on this planet. It brings tears to my eyes and feels like a funeral when somebody needlessly cuts down a tree ......

I try not to think about the destroyers of Mother Earth...
