When I was growing up and riding the school bus, if one person acted up on the bus we all had to pay for it. The bus driver would drive the bus right back to the school and everyone was late going home, and the child that acted up, was put off the bus at the school, and the parents were called and the kid had to get home the best way he or she could. Things were more simple then, now we are in a whole entire disrespectful world.

Teachers having been going through this in the United States for over fifty years!! This isn't a new problem. No one in the System has placed a priority on this behavior. There is a Teacher shortage for a reason. There are thousands of people who hold Teaching Licenses that aren't using them. This is not only a parenting issue. The school policies allow for this behavior as well. Our society CONDONES this behavior while our Laws are relaxed on crime and punishment.
@sd8150

This is soooooo accurate. I'm one of those people who holds a license and left. It is not just the parents. I would send a student to the dean or principal, and they would barely write them up or give any disciplinary action They did not want to give out to many bc it affected their funding. They would put the resource students in the classes with the kids who had the worst behavior issues. It's a kettle ready to blow. Nearly impossible to get these kids right because the odds were stacked against them. I refused to continue to be a part of the problem.

I will say this as a law student, our laws are in NO WAY relaxed on crime. That is a plainly uninformed statement. The reality is, we live in a sinful world. These people don’t have an affinity for crime and the evil things of this life because law is lenient it’s because they NEED CHRIST. They have been failed by their parents. They have been failed in the area of discipline AT HOME. The Justice system LOVES to put people in prison, hence the overcrowding.

In the countries listed one could argue that there IS a leniency toward crime. It not just a lack of Christ. It's that leniency and tolerance towards violent crime that leads to more crime. Deuteronomy 17:12-13, it is suggested that punishing people by death is a way of deterring others from committing the same crime: "Everyone will hear about it and be afraid to act so arrogantly." However, there were also systems in place to protect people who had broken the law unintentionally, in order that they received a fair trial. Numbers 35:11-24 talks about ‘cities of refuge’: In the Book of Romans in the New Testament, St Paul writes : "The authorities that exist have been established by God" (Romans 13:1). This suggests that the government of a country has been put there by God, and therefore has a God-given duty to punish criminals on behalf of the society they govern.

I was a room mother in my son's first grade class in 1991. There was a VERY disruptive boy who would do ANYTHING he wanted.... leaving the class to disrupt the kindergarten class, walk around singing dirty words.... you get the picture. My first time in that classroom, we were getting ready to leave for the day. The teacher had everyone go back to their desks and put their heads down bc they didn't do it properly. She told them all to be in an orderly fashion, get in line quietly at the door. That boy refused to put his head down. He was saying filthy words, etc. I told him that he needed to do what the teacher asked, like all the other kids. He said, master-of-factly- "f- you". I very CALMLY reached down, grabbed his collar, and forced him to sit. I then restated that his head is to be DOWN on his desk and that if he needed me to, i could help him with that, also. He said, "Thank you," put his head down, and class was dismissed. I WAS KEPT AFTER CLASS!!😮😮😮😮 The teacher told me that he was never made to do the right thing bc he was a foster child, and they felt sorry for him. I told her that ALL my aunts keep foster kids, and she is wrong! I told her that they don't want to be single out or treated like freaks. Fast forward to 5 years later. I saw that young man at a store a few cities away. His foster mom said she'd always wanted to meet me and THANK ME for the way i taught him that day! THAT BOY SAID THANK YOU!!!😭😭😭😭😭 He said that he needed his butt kicked that day and that he changed his life around bc I treated him like everyone else!! P.S., that teacher was in her 60s and had never had children of her own. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Some things you just can't learn from college courses! Also, everytime a young person has a baby, I wrap up a Bible and tell them that there is INDEED a book of instruction. If they use it, there will be less chaos in their lives. May God richly bless you all and your families ~ Mamaw Christy ❤❤❤❤

She tried to get my daughter to go with her because the guy had a friend...My daughter told her "No, my momma is crazy, if I get caught I'll end up sleepin on the porch!" That's because I talked to her in no uncertain terms, about my rules and the consequences of breaking them. To top it off, when I told the friend's😊 mom about her sneaking out at night, the mom stopped talking to me. Like I had done something wrong. And in my teens years zero guidance I had to learn from myself. Made a lot of mistakes but I got it together now as a 22 year old. Still I have no guidance, no one to really get wisdom or advice from because none of my family members live righteous , but if I want toxic advice I can get that all day. I get my wisdom and knowledge from older adults online and its doing something, but it’s nothing like having someone in your life actually living that way. My mother is a jealous selfish addicted to drugs type of person and my father is out of sight, yet I remember he was the only one who gave me wisdom until he remarried and disappeared. And as I got older I realized his advice was something he didn’t take himself. And I lost respect for both my parents that they bring 6 kids into struggle with no guidance just pure toxicity. Then have to go into this big world after high school and they just say “ you grown now figure it out” with zero guidance. A lot of parents think they’re job is done after the child turns 18 and or leave the house

Help them understand, correct the peer pressure, and TALK with THEM... NOT at them.. show them we care while not being stubborn in showing them we mean it.. They have to have moral standards, and please care for their mindset ❤❤❤

Blame the government. No corporal punishment in homes or schools now allowed. No prayer in schools.

I'll be 50 this year and my kids are 10 and 12. I am old school. At this point all I have to do is grab my belt. They get in line quick. I also drive a school bus. All grades. They think I'm mean. I do not play. Their parents don't like me either. Oh well. Corey, have you heard about this man a person can hire to discipline your child. He comes to your house.

I'm 29 and working on getting my CDL to drive a bus. I'll pay you for advice on how to deal with parents and children. I will not let the children address my by my first name, they're going to address me as Mr. Myers. I might sound old school, but we need to go back to traditional values.

@whelenvortexr4 Get ready! Be patient. All these kids are different. Sometimes, the kid is good, but the parents are bad. Right away one the first day, let them know what you expect. Do be nice until later. They will teach you student management in your training classes. Many blessings to you.

I’m just curious about intellectually/learning impaired, mental health issues, retardation, etc…Some have times of lashing out verbally and/or physically, showing no respect, some instances of really hurting themselves, caregivers and/or other people around them. So, I have a couple questions. 1) How would one Biblically go about learning and teaching those people? 2) How would it really be known that they have repented, accepted The True Jesus and been born again? I think this would be a great topic to cover by the way…Thanks Corey for another great video, Jennifer

If we, as a whole society, weren't dealing with religious teachers and their incomplete, heretical, blasphemous, misguided and self exalting teachings; but loved, trusted, followed and stayed with God from the start, it would be easy to override this Devils evil system and achive successful child rearing!

Children these days are TAUGHT AT SCHOOL that if their parent hits or spanks them, then they MUST CALL THE POLICE on that parent, or if in public, a witness will call the police on that parent. A man I know who is a single parent had the police called on him when he tried to discipline his son for hitting a girl in the neighborhood. One of the neighbors called the police & my friend got arrested & sentenced to jail time (3 days) & a year of community service AND NOW has a record that's not even related to a crime. So when his son acted up again & he tried to discipline him, his son socked his dad in the eye & my friend (the dad) couldn't do anything because he just finished probation & didn't want the police on him again for trying to discipline his son. So the son got away with acting a fool & will from now on. This society bans parents from being good parents & made a biblical statute against the law.

This is exactly why teachers are quitting and there arent bus drivers. You couldnt pay me enough to deal with other peoples kids because I'd go to jail. And if you dont want your kids disciplined, dont have them around me 😂 i have to put my foot down around my siblings kids all the time .. "not around me you won't" ..

No way in hell or Heaven did I disrespect my ma the way these kids today do-I didn’t want to hurt or disappoint her. Most of today’s kids don’t see beyond themselves because they don’t have home training and the parents don’t know it themselves to teach them.
