Why oh why won't this stupid piano-black finish fad die already. I just got a 2022 Grand Cherokee L Limited and honestly, I personally like it's options better than the overland that was sitting next to it at the dealer that was like 8k more. I have the 360° camera system, the black appearance package with the 20" black wheels, black exterior and interior, in MY opinion the better looking fog and daytime running lights, all of which the overland didn't have. It also didn't have the towing prep package which gives you a full size spare, auto leveling headlights and rear suspension, as well as the better trans cooler that mine has. The only thing it really had that mine doesn't is the air suspension, which I absolutely didn't want, it's WAY too expensive to repair or replace if it gets messed up, the auto leveling rear suspension in mine is less than a 3rd of the cost to replace. It does have the better AWD system. The "advance trac II" system I think it's called. Mine just has the "advance trac I." It also did have the massaging seats, as well as the ventilated second row. Mine is just the heated captains chairs in the back. But ventilated in the front. It even only had the same V6 that mine has... Idk. I LOVE mine and didn't really like the overland. I feel like it's a FAR better optioned vehicle... But that's just MY opinion.

The prices lately have absolutely exploded bc “the market” discovered there’s actually a ton of incredibly stupid people that will take on >5yr loans to afford the new shiny thing, and since those loans are easier and easier to get, and stupid consumers just keep doing it, OEMs have no incentive to bring the prices back down into sanity-land. People have become so OK with overpaying for less it’s ridiculous. You look at some $70k trucks/SUVs and they’re equipped like $30-40k cars. Not to mention they’re all using tech that’s been around for *literally* decades, but contrary to tech advancements making tech cheaper, the cars just get more and more expensive

Hopefully, they have improved the real world vs EPA rating. This is the only vehicle I have ever owned that could never reach it’s highway estimate and I’ve probably had 60-80 cars, trucks and suvs in my 43 years of driving. Even though it is a gas HOG, I just love this old beast . It’s the only vehicle I have kept 5 years or longer. It’s always been a second car so I don’t have to deal with horrendous mpg unless I feel like it. Oh and those mpg numbers are “driving slow enough to drive Miss Daisy”. Great video however the overland model is not the top of the line model. The top og the line is the Summit and Summit Reserve. Which also adds Nappa leather for the summit and Palermo leather for the summit reserve. at around 68k with the hemi. At this price point you might as well wait for the Jeep Wagoneer which starts at 59 and with some options around 67 you will have a much better vehicle. But this iGrand Cherokee l is a direct competitor to the traverse, telluride, palisade. But for the money the palisade and telluride offer more options and features for 48k.

Love watching Roman and TFL. Can’t say I love the dial shifter, or the lack of physical buttons to control the heating and cooling. Price is high, as Jeep gets further away from utilitarianism, and closer to luxury mall crawlers. That said, it will sell very well.

If they didn't start at 10k over most over 3 row suvs I'd be sold. But to even get leather you're pushing high 40s..... most others in the segment can get you with leather right around 38 to 40k. But this Design is killer and it's easily one of the best looking new 3 rows!
@watchreport

Well, it delpends on engine choices (can’t get this many engine choices or power in other 3 rows), and it is able to go more off road and has more towing capability than say a Ford Explorer ST or a Highlander etc.
@tylerharvey8299
3 жыл бұрын
@@watchreport Towing capacity and off road ability are really the only advantages. The jeep only offers 3.6 and 5.7 and several of the competitors also offer multiple engines. The Explorer has a 2.3, a Hybrid and 2 versions of the 3.0 ecoboost with the ST version having more power and torque than the jeep. Ford is launching a Timberline edition of the explorer for more offroading capability obviously not as much as the Jeep, but let's be honest who actually uses the offroading capability. I hope when my warranties run out on my Durango that these Jeeps will have some rebates because I love the look of them

$67k is NOT budget, Jeez! I don't like the outside styling personally, I think they should have lifted it a couple inches. Another thing that annoys me on new vehicles too is that they don't include a backup wheel in the trunk. On a positive note, I really like the interior look except for the glossy plastics, the rotary shifter and no knobs/buttons for the a/c and the stereo. Glossy plastics tend to scratch easily, I guess I'm very disappointed in it overall.

@@ChrisH421 I found similar results. But the results are artificially high due to the extraordinarily high price of used vehicles. If it were normal circumstances we’d see used vehicles anywhere from 3k to 12k dollars lower than today’s prices. Grand Cherokees retain a little over half their value in 4 years. Making this a great bargain with under 50k miles.

So Stellantis is no longer going to rely solely on the Durango to carry the water in the so-called "midsize" 3 row SUV category. (The Durango's 3rd row is optional.) For the "Baby Got Back" fans, the Grand Cherokee L has the distinction of being the longest entry in that group. At 204.9" in length it beats the bus-like Chevy Traverse by about half an inch. All in all, it appears the GC L and the Durango are similar in the distinct images they project to the Telluride and Palisade with the Durango going for a more "rugged" vibe and the GC L aiming at a more "luxury" feel. If my fantasy had always been tow a boat with school bus I'd look seriously at the Grand Cherokee L. And with its little silver stars and stripes on the door it definitely reinforces the stereotype of Americans' belief that bigger is better.
