Starting with the 2022/23 Australian Sprint Car season, the Sprintcar Control Council of Australia (SCCA) has mandated the use of the Tozuda brand impact indicator.
Despite the aim to improve safety within the sport, the device hasn't sat well with many drivers as they question the accuracy, implementation process, and legality when meeting helmet manufacturer and certifier standards.
Cam Waters, a Sprint Car and Supercars driver, was one of the first to speak out publicly.
