This makes sure none of that roux block sticks to any of the ingredients. Sometimes you can get bits of pasty curry not breaking down and sticking to the ingredients and the only way to fix it is to aggressively over stir the whole curry and damage the vegetables. As a Japanese, i found it interesting that curry was picked for this. I thought there were better picks than this, but then I remembered that before I came to Canada, people told me to make curry if I ever needed to cook Japanese food for Canadians or people from other countries. I think this dish is just accepted by many people, even though it has a unique flavour and not many people dislike the taste. I don't know why, but my mom puts a piece of chocolate in her curry and adds a bunch of different vegetables not just potatoes, onions, and carrots. She put things like mushrooms, pumpkin, eggplant, okura, and zucchini. And it's so good.

As someone who makes breaded chicken(I call it breadcrumb chicken) all the time. With those breadcrumbs they are thick with little taste but give you the crispyness. I know it’s not the center of the dish but spice would add more taste. But like I said, the flakes are thick so I would recommend a seasoned mix with Parmesan cheese which gives the same effect or adding spice with the flour or on top/under the breadcrumbs. It’s pretty simple but a spice mix I would use would be onion powder, garlic powder, seasoned salt, old bay and a spice of your choice( add the spice of your choice extra for large effect since it will be the center of the spice mix). For the main spice I would personally recommend that you use Tex mex, roasted garlic chicken rub or even something g like chili if you want to be more spicy. It can be anything pretty much. I’m actually going to use dill the next time I cook it. Also personally I find using egg wash or whatever it’s called and then another bowl with your breadcrumbs. Thanks for listening this is my take on my favorite chicken

Its not even a real curry tho, curry as a concept was introduced in Japan by Britishers during meiji era, who at that time colonized India and had really developed a liking and habit of eating Indian dishes/curries. As result Britishers often tried to imitate or gimmick those dishes by making their own versions like Chicken Tikka Masala (which is literally UK's national dish now), so this was actually what Japan made out of that concept of curry and fundamentally this imitation is quite remote from the authentic Indian version, *so I think Japan should consider to re-naming this dish something that is more representative of Japan rather than just calling it a curry and take credit for actually inventing something new which suited their taste palettes so well.*

@@joshuakim3734 Everyone here was having a good time and being nice as far as I can tell until you decided to show up and start unnecessarily trying to diss on others for no reason. There's no reason for that, don't spend your time in life just trying to bring others down, it's bad for both you and those around you. Try to uplift those you interact with instead, you'll feel better and people you interact with will appreciate it.

You may have not tried karaage (Japanese fried chicken) yet. Curry is clearly a WOW, the Japanese hone in on dishes and work them to perfection. Udon, tonkatsu, ramen, yakitori (marinated), gyoza, even coffee (Japan doesn't grow beans but serves the best coffee).
