I really liked this! I really enjoy watching dead/almost dead mall videos. I have so many memories of Manchester Mall. I remember being a little kid in the late 90s & going there with my family. I remember there was a KB Toy Store next to Sears, I remember later on in my teen years going to the movie theater next door with my cousins & we'd arrive early & walk to the mall & walk around. I remember the carousel, Red Robin's, Gottschalks, Anchor Blue, M fasis, the food court etc. We would walk into Sears & spray on tons of perfume samples & then take off to the movies. I remember there being a pizza place in there that had arcade games. I miss those times. Also I think it's now called Manchester Center.

Hi LuLu thank you for hanging out with us. That sounds like a classic 90s mall and so awesome. I totally forgot about KB Toys. I wish malls were like they were back then. Maybe a better look but idk the stores and vibe was different. It looks like the outdoor type of mall is the trend. Thank you so so much for your time and hanging out. Keep being awesome and see you on the next adventure.

@@doodwithacru That's interesting that outdoor type of malls or shopping centers are more in right now because back when indoor malls were more popular my parents use to tell me that outdoor malls were more popular when they were kids & teens & that indoor malls killed them lol. Now they're back to being popular. I actually prefer indoor malls.

@Lulu seriously it's crazy how trends never actually go away. They just go into hiding till it becomes popular again. I like the indoor mall look & it's a perfect place to hangout on any type of day. Mall of America in Minnesota is huge and a must visit

Even in the 90s Manchester wasn't as popular as fashion Fair or River Park. I used to live by there and as a kid and my grandparents went to Hometown Buffet a lot. My brother and I got jumped by some kids walking home from there once, and I remember none of the cars stopping as I waved them down... Fun stuff amirite. Fresno isn't such a happy go lucky place but I'm glad I was able to make it through those crazy times... Later wrote for the Fresno Bee and other local newspapers so I have done all of the exploring you're now doing, but at least now you can document it and share this!

Hi Charlotte thank you so much for hanging out. Miller's Outpost was a classic. At my childhood mall we had a Discovery store, Warner Bros store, a huge Disney store & so much more. Malls are very different now. It's more about shopping, back then going to a mall was an experience. Much more lively. Thank you for Cruing along with us. I miss the carousel that was at the old main entrance, it was abandoned prior to SEARS leaving, i remember Gottschalks being a anchor store then leaving. On the outside there is chipotle, its boba time, habit burger …recently Ross and DD’s opened and they get a lot of traffic. I really shop Amazon, Temu, Shein, and i look for online deals that i can pick up locally.

I woulda really loved to see this mall when it was very popular. I've read so many awesome stories about this place. When I spoke with the security guard he had said there were plans to remodel it. I hope that's still happening and we can see this mall popular again. I do think there was a phase where malls were not so popular but I think they're making a comeback in ppl wanting to go again. They also gotta fix up a bit around the area but I think it could happen. I'm hoping one day I can visit Phoenix, there's so many amazing places out there and tje scenery is so beautiful.
