I am a Qidi customer for life, NOBODY, and I literally mean no other 3d printer company can beat their Qidi's customer service. I have Qidi gen 2 x max and x plus 2 printers. Qidi still overnights any replacement parts. I need to fix the printers, YEARS LATER! they listen to their customers.they answer you back every single time you reach out within the day. They take customer feedback and ideas seriously. I bought their new x max 3, and I had problems with it, and qidi sent parts overnight, walked me through some steps, and we couldn't get it printing to good standards. So Qidi gave me a full refund without me asking at all. And they apologized up and down and said, "Keep the printer for your troubles. You can fix it down the road if you want. And for the refund, go and buy another brand if you like, or whatever you may choose. So I instantly bought another X max 3, and it prints perfectly right out of the box! I've been working on the 1st printer, and I got that printing pretty damn good, too! It was allt of work, but hey... it is a free printer. Qidi takes care of their customers with zero hassle! Every printer they sell, everyone has a barcode on the back with the person's name who specializes in that exact model of printer, as your go-to after sales specialist. They have open chat and answer every single email you send. Unlike Bambu or creality that dodges you at every turn, blame you.or make you go through utter BS to send back a defective printer. Nope, no way! Yeah, they may not look super classy like some other printers, but they are designed to work and be a workhorse printer for serious engineering grade printing. I primarily print in carbon fiber nylons, Cf asa, cf pet, pa12-kevlar, and fiberglass, and a bunch of other Cf, Gf, and kevlar filaments. Hands down, iam a Qidi customer for life. They take the worry out of receiving a lemon, breakdowns, broken parts, defective anything. It's a lot of money, and Qidi always takes care of me and all their customers. Can't be beat if you are serious about 3d printing.

This is incredible to hear. I pinned your comment because more community based feedback is always welcome! I absolutely plan to keep the Q1P and put it to work immediately. I’ve been using it since the video to make my Etsy orders. I hope I don’t have problems with it but I am glad to hear that if I do Qidi will be able to help me out!

I am currently trying to save up enough money to buy the Qidi Tech Q1 pro and I have a little over 300 dollars saved up. I am disabled and can't work so I am worried that I won't have enough time to buy it before the early bird sale ends as i won't be able to get anymore money until June. Can you please do more videos about this printer, maybe tuning and modifications. I am also interested in installing the current full version of Klipper

Nice review. I got my Q1 PRO recently and had horrible prints using default values in Qidi Slicer. Switched to Orca Slicer and things improved. Did you ever develop any tuned print profiles?
@ButterPockets

I’ll be completely honest - I used their Prusaslicer profiles, ran input shaper, dropped the max accelerations to those values and never looked back haha

@@ButterPockets Thanks. I'll check Prusa profile. I slowed down outer perimeter and acceleration values in Orca and it's going well. Always room for improvement though.

There definitely is! My input shaper gave me max accels of 4500 and running the Prusaslicer profile with those max accels has given me prints that are “good enough” for what I expect. I believe the PS profiles are almost exactly what’s in Qidislicer but just ported over. If you want to tune it up I’d suggest following Ellis’ guide and just running some test prints.

@@ButterPockets Thanks. I'm new to Klipper. Ender3 Pro and Cura for years so I'm overwhelmed with all the new stuff. I've been reading Ellis' page today and I'm slowly learning. I ran the input shaper but I didn't see the values. I'll look to see what I can find.

You’ll need to log into the fluidd interface on your computer. So on the printer go to the network setting and see the IP address then just go to that IP on your browser. Right after you run input shaper it will have what it did in the console and say something like “suggested shaper in X is mzv at 47Hz l, suggested max acceleration of 5000mm^s/s” or something along those lines. It will save those values into the bottom of the printer.cfg but it won’t save those suggested max accelerations.

I'm trying to decide on my first printer. Contenders are this, the Bambu Labs A1 Mini (maybe combo), and the Bambu Labs P1S Combo. I know, kinda wide spread there. If I KNEW that there is an AMS solution for this coming, I'd be on it. IF the P1S had a heated chamber, that would (probably) settle it, although the cost is pretty stiff. Sigh....
@ButterPockets

I think you can’t go wrong with an A1 or a P1S. Depends on how much your budget is honestly. If you have the budget go P1S. If you don’t or just wanna dip your toes in go A1 mini.

Assuming i just want to print PLA for my etsy shop would you recommend this or rhe A1 or an adventurer 5M? The A1 is appealing because of the larger build plate i can print more at once. 5M is cheaper, but smaller and I don't like the expensive nozzle/hotend setup. The Qidi seems great, faster than the A1, but smaller and the most expensive of my 3 options plus i dont need the enclosure/heated chamber. The negatives of the Bambu are the whole china big brother cloud thing and it's still a bedslinger. I just need something better than my ender 3 v2 lol.

Also, The nozzle wipe before the print is so the nozzle is clean for the bed meshing. I think the purge line takes care of the oozing pre print.
@ButterPockets
5 ай бұрын
It’s a prime line, not a purge line! It primes the nozzle to be at the right pressure before printing. The poop is the purge! Angus (Makersmuse) also pointed out that the order of operations is a little wonky with the wipe.
@raiden72

@@ButterPocketsThe Purge line also gets rid of the remaining filament that has been sitting in the Bowden tube which could potentially have excess moisture. Markforged printers draw a large Onyx purge line for this reason.

Number one, this printer lets you change the Z offset easily, unlike a Bambulab, so that’s a non-argument. Even if it wasn’t low enough, it was consistent which means the bed leveling worked. Second, you can easily see in the prints I showed that the layer stacking is phenomenal. An affiliate link isn’t enough to make me lie on the internet. No need to be so sassy :)
