Excellent video, very well put together. How are you not more famous mate? Keep putting out quality honest vids like this and your subs will definitely increase. Anyway I am searching right now for a good tray and this was a great bit of extra knowledge to help me on my search.

To overcome the edge being higher, you could pack the bolts with spacers/ washers. I like the use of the trailer wire. It's a very smart idea.

Cheers mate. Cant remember where I saw the cable idea. It works well though.

Thanks for sharing. I also have a 76. I also use trailer wire. Run once and have spares for other stuff later. Something to consider is the negative return has the same current capacity of all the other cables used for accessories. If you are using the full current capacity of one cable you might need to use one of the spares as an additional negative. I like the cable runs down the back, I will be doing the same.

Thanks mate. It was a consideration for sure. I spoke about it with an auto elec. If I was to put more up there besides the lights that I currently have, I would be doing exactly that.

Nice choice and good run down, run a 76 myself and just recently installed a wedgetail rack as well. Installing mine I actually ended up putting the long rails on the rack on the ground and lifting the whole thing onto the roof. Just found that easier, as, as you mentioned not a lot of room under there.

I would probably do the same in hindsight mate. Very happy with the rack though.

Aluminium roof racks are the only way to go , I had a steel one and after a couple of years it started rusting and because my 76 is Toyota mica black . It was leaving bluey purple stains on my roof . I bought an aluminium one and had it raptor coated , the coat they use on the inside of ute well bodies . It's tough enough not to chip off but good looking enough not to look like a amateur job .

Thanks for the video mate. I'm researching racks right now and was looking at the Frontrunner Slimline II. I'm wondering what the wind noise is like with this rack? Cheers.
