Cool kit! Always enjoy seeing a win against a knot like that. Knots are my greatest foe 😖

Yeah our hardwood is really stringy too and a hydraulic splitter is a must. I do split my softwood for kindling & camping firewood with an axe or two

I think Chris from in The Woodyard would call that a big nasty. I would like to in the future produce more wood, I did 20 cubic metres this year. I would love an Eastonmade splitter.

Wow, I'd like to talk more about buying wood unprocessed in bulk

We live and die by our wood splitters here, super knotted up and twisted grain wood that you can’t always split by hand

@@walkerscountrylife I love swinging an axe when I can but there’s times you need a splitter

Can't see on clearly on video, the leading edge of the splitting wedge. If used with stringy logs, an almost knife sharp honing improves the finish of the split, slicing rather than shattering. Reduces the effort needed to start the split & so allow more awkward pieces to be processed with leass strain on the equipment. Impressive performance.

I need to get something like this to make easier firewood from my scrap of my sawmills 🤔
