Good review In my view….spend the extra $2.5k & up grade to the Sports model. XLT gets 4 x 17” alloy wheels with a spare steel wheel Sports gets 5 x 18” alloy wheels, phone charge pad, leather seats (drivers side is powered) 2 extra drive modes (mud & sand), front passenger car mat, extra front tow point & dark external body accents.

Past XLT was always the extra bling. I reckon Ford have got it the wrong way around, the sport should have slotted under the XLT and retain the bling. Chrome trims and nicer seats etc. Now, the XLT interior seems, well.... bland. I don't know your age, but the door release handles are straight out of a 1971 LTD!

Love it. I really like the design of the xlt the most. Modest but nice. Only beef ford should let you spec up the interior. Extra cup holder bins, and bigger screen, Top glove box, leather seats, better sound system. Just for the guy who kinda needs a ute but doesn't want to look so flashy. But nice inside. I think Ford should try to spec this one up. I would think they would make a pretty penny doing it.

Hi Chasing Cars, I've just seen the CURRENT AFFAIR regarding the issues of the current FORD RANGER. Issues such as suddenly braking at 80 km/h, dash board screen showing nothing and poor customer service. In your future videos, COULD YOU PLEASE INCLUDE CURRENT ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE (any vehicles) and WHAT THE MANUFACTURERS DOING ABOUT IT (fixes). Your videos influences how our hardworking Australians buy their knew vehicles. You will provide GREAT SERVICE to our community by providing not just the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE reviews about the vehicle but also the actual issues with it. This way, the MANUFACTURERS can be put on notice, up their standards and giving the manufacturers the idea CUSTOMER SERVICE should be their number one priority. Now that's a concept, PASSIONATE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

@@alexs3187 the us will get one similar to this but it won't be the same, however the ranger raptor will be pretty much the same. Think the main differences of the worldwide ranger and the US ranger is that the US ranger is more off-road focused/lifestyle focused whereas the worldwide version is more for carrying heavy loads and doing general work but at the same time being a decent car to drive around in.

Out of interest - Why do Volkswagen have so much say in this car? And what difference is this motor to the Volkswagen V6?
@topostornottopost3371
2 жыл бұрын
Ok so besides the fact the v6 engine has known issues in other cars, it’s quite a possibility they nutted that out. Fuel economy guys, fuelll economy. My Mew Gen bi turbo Wildtrak 8.6-8.9L p/100k My mates new v6 Wildtrak 9.8-10.9L p/100k This alone is a winner in my head for the Bi turbo. We have chased each other around and taken off from lights together and really let these vehicles have it and realistically the Bi turbo is not far off in the real world. Literally a car length apart most of the time if not less when cruising around. Take it from someone that owns one and has access to the other. The Bi turbo is honestly fair game, has enough power to do normal everyday driving and towing and my buddy is regretting the V6 because of how thirsty it is. We are paying $2.05 per liter currently and my buddy and I both drive 30-35k per year in said work vehicles. It cracks me up everyone wants the V6… why so you can go a little faster on a rare occasion when you take off from lights and that costs you 15-20% more in fuel all the time?
@SkiRacingOz
2 жыл бұрын
No, it’s because the v6 is more relaxed so you can bet as long as they sorted those crankshaft issues it will last longer and it will carry and tow heavy loads with much more ease
@topostornottopost3371
2 жыл бұрын
@@SkiRacingOz sure if you’re using it as tourer to tow a big van around Australia maybe but not for what they were designed to be, they are a work vehicle. I tow a 3t trailer at least two times a week a couple hundred ks and it has no trouble at all. Longevity wise they are going to be much the same. No different. Maybe when you hit 200 thou it will show a difference but most cars do at that point. Of course the 4cyl has to work a bit harder but with a proven motor and 5 years warranty, there is no argument.
