Great piece of gear at an incredible price! The ease of operation is phantastic, a joy for all those (including myself) who have miserably failed in mastering state-of-the-art processors like Fractal, Helix, Kemper et al. In Germany this little helper costs less than 1/4 of the top devices. But what's it good for if I just can't use them the way I want and need it? I am not a rocket scientist or computer nerd, but a seasoned rock musician who grew up with Boss, EH and MXR stompboxes. So NU-X did an amazing job with their latest pedal and packed everything together into one handy unit: really great sounds and options with 1980s operation and concept. The only thing that puzzles me a bit is the reverse order layout from right to left: I would normally go from the amps and cabs section to the drive section and on to the mod section and finally find my delays and reverbs on the far right. But you can get used to this in a few minutes.

Finaly something that looks like it follows in the footsteps of the Atomic Amplifire (which I love). The easily accessible main controls and fewer but easier to use and good quality options to choose from. And the discreet screen and led use not looking like a christmas tree 😜. I'm so glad you made this video! I've watched EVERY video I can find for the Trident (including your previous ones) and the sound just wasn't grabbing me. This was the first demonstration that showed straightforward tones that I could hear myself using. In theater, there's a translucent curtain called a scrim at the front of the stage that can be used to create a barrier from the main set. When I think of audio, I often think of some signals as being behind the scrim. This was the first demo that was in front of the scrim. Hope that makes sense!

My discrete pedalboard goes from left (tuner, wah, drives) to right (trem, delay, reverb) 😊 Each of us can organize the board as needed or wanted. I use to read from left to right, so probably that's why I like to see my signal flow the same way, too. The same goes for amps: heads built into a combo housing often show a mirrored controls layout because the manufacturers produce only one amp version for both head and combo versions.

@@sexyguitarboy69 Yes, I can understand that since we in the western world read left to right, it might seem more natural to see our pedals that way, but the fact is that the inputs and outputs on hardware pedals go right to left. It would seem very impractical and messy to me to wire all my pedals with extra long patch cables going all the way around each pedal, just so I can see my pedal chain the same way I read, since, I’m not reading them like a book - but as you say, to each their own.
