Don't get scared guys, most of these "digital humans" are just face/head replacements on real actors. The ones made in full CGI are the ones that look off. As a 3D graphics artist I can tell you that making such a realistic human shown in some of these photos isn't possible yet. Even the biggest studios in Hollywood struggle to do it. And the ones that look realistic and move in a natural way take dozens of people and a lot of time to make: -Sculptors for the body. -Texture and shader artists for the skin. -Modelers for the clothes. -Hair simulations. -Cloth simulations. -Skin deformation. -Actors for motion and face capture. -Animators to clean up the motion captured recording. -Render and light artists for setting up the scene and last but not least: -Compositing artists to finish the process. Thats A LOT of people to just make one render of a photorealistic human. Everytime the animations/scenes/clothes/lighting/makep changes most of the process has to be repeated. I don't even want to start talking about how long all of this takes time to render.

I feel like the beauty industry started to lose control on models who have been recently opening up about their mental and physical struggles from their career. It is causing great money loss to the industry since people are gradually starting to accept themselves therefore paying less money for surgeries, weight loss intakes, makeup, etc. It’s all a big marketing strategy in order to delude people when in fact I’m sure that the people behind all of this are ugly, fat, and mocking our desperation lmao. I feel like a reasonable amount of people are becoming aware by time of how far things have gone, however, i feel sorry for kids and teens nowadays who are still trying to figure out themselves but will subconsciously base it on their appearance in addition to that this age specifically has an urge to fit in. I don't understand how anyone can prefer these things over real live people. How can I ever relate to literal drawings? How can anyone on that matter? And if they talk and have "special skills" they still need to get them from live people. Why humans today strive so much towards visual perfection? I like to paint and draw all my life and I always loved the most people who have many little imperfections, lines, life written across their faces and bodies. Perfection is sterile and boring. Maybe this will be the end of influencers, but only because influencers tend to present themselves as perfect beings with no any flaw on their looks or life. So this is kind of consequence of that.

I started seeing fake humans in mainstream ads recently, and had been wondering if anyone else had been noticing them. I am almost certain that “Farfetch” clothing is currently running a short ad which has several digital models which step out of a car in various outfits. The final model in the ad caught my attention, and then I examined how the car hardly moves when they climb out, and the movement and fall of the clothing is curiously perfect for someone who was just sitting in a car. I have seen a few other ads but the fake humans flash on screen so quickly that it is hard to track them down. Target has a holiday ad running with various families in it, and there is a mixed-race couple (asian lady and middle-eastern man) sitting in front of a fireplace which strike me as not real. Their movements and clothing are just…off?? Anyone else??

I wonder what goes inside these people minds to creates that and make them work for high brands like?!???!? And the fact that they could take over the acting industry?!!? So now pretty much everyone who wants to be a model or an actress/actor has to have their dreams crashed bc robots will take over?!?? Honestly idek what is reality and fakeality, bc if high/beauty brands accept to work with these instead of humans….that’s when you know our future is fvcked. Brands don’t even accept anymore to work with humans if they don’t fit and tbh I think some fashion brands, only use bigger people for clout. I don’t think it actually comes from their heart. My wish one day is to all of this to end and for everyone just accept themselves. That’s literally OUTRAGEOUS like?!?? The chef of Meta and Neon….what went through your mind to do this? Hence why also I think people should have days where they don’t go on social media. My mom takes my phone sometimes and I’m always mad when she does that but then some minutes later I’m okay and I actually forget that I have a phone and tbh I feel better, I feel relaxed. When I’m on my phone I feel heavy and honestly it’s quite sad that this generation and the future ones are only on their phones. Personally, I think we should give kids phones when they’re 15. That’s the best age, if you give at 13/12/11 consider your kid “lost” in a way. I had my first phone at 8/9 but it was those small ones with numbers as touch and I’m proud I was still part of that. Anyway, I hope the creator have a self reflect time one day and realise that all of this is fake and that we should just use humans instead of robots. As I’m writing this, I’ve realised something. What if they create robots to make them company? Like they might feel alone and ngl when it comes to relationships humans are tough on that one, so maybe they create robots as a way to like yk what I mean? I can’t explain it but I think you got it! Nice video btw, I enjoy your content super mega much, keep it up!

Frankly, I think it’ll take awhile. There’s something very cartoonish about these virtual influencers for now. I believe if we were to really dissect their followers, many are bought.

In fact, I don't like this change that is happening now about these virtual objects in the future, and this change is starting from now. Imagine what will happen in the future. The negatives of these virtual objects will be more than the positives in my opanian. The world is starting to get scary and more complex than before after these changes. I wonder how we will adapt to this change>_

Actually with a large number of teenagers fantasising over anime boys or girls, I dont see this as impossible because y'know I hear stories of how girls want to marry this non existent character since their face and character seems so perfect.

Great video once again Ibrahim. I'm absolutely disgusted and creeped out at the very idea of these fake humans being of any influence on society and especially to our succeeding generations. Parents get your kids outside and away from their tablets please

This goes to show how naive humans are and how they'd say yes to things like these when there are loads of socio-economic problems in society, we choose to make AIs I'm totally not against the idea but maybe the timing is wrong. Issues like starvation and inequalities should be first on the list then maybe making cool AIs should come after.

What?! This makes me want to put myself out there and build a KZitem channel. Its not fair that virtual people get more love than us. What??!! I did not know there were "virtual influencers" AND I am a 2d and 3d artist. In the 3d world, meta humans are everything. Like that's all 3d artists want to create. I like a more non realistic clay look, but I'm telling you there is a huge push to creating human looking art forms. Especially cyborg junk. Everyone is obsessed with ai art in 3d land. Why would I want to draw someone with cords and sh*** coming out of them? Things are changing so fast I can't keep up.

🎀I would feel like I have nothing in common with a virtual influencer. 🎀 🎀1. They aren’t alive, can’t eat, their standards would be so perfect it would be unrealistic. Which would make it unappealing to me in the end. But I have noticed a few companies trying to push virtual reality on to everyone.🎀

Basically just another step further into capitalism on steroids. These big companies don't have to pay AI influencers nearly as much for promotion as they do humans. Its pretty vile honestly. How do they expect people to buy their crap if we can't make money because of automation?

About the last chaptor talking about them run on AI in future --- as someone who have done uncessary amount of research on motion tracking, Vtuber streaming, and AI generated art because I wanted to do it, I'd say currently probably all of the virtual influencers either operate through a human actor and some type of motion tracking (I think this is the only way to do realtime livestream, also the easiest/cheapest way), or made by a dedicated animation team. We are probably far away from content creators who are actually AIs, at least for now they are just a "skin" with no actual intelligence or soul. Although with the develop of machine learning programs such as GPT-3, no one could say it's 100% impossible, but even then I can't picture how an AI could be an influencer without a human team help the AI with "personality" or decide what content they are going to create. I only speak from my own knowledge and information I have, so if I'm incorrect please point it out!
@daodastream3117

I feel like this is so unclear--- I'm trying to say that these virtual influeners currently rely on motion tracking and a human actor and actually has little to do with AI. The companys don't emphasize this because AI sounds fancy and they want people to stay intrigued.

what gets me giggling is that its all behind a screen at the end of the day & that, as human beings (more than an animal, less than an angel) - we are tricked into this hyper capitalistic hype, the scare jump, the fear of what the future entails for us.. It's genuinely in our hands tho - I think there is an anticipating addiction at play too, but my theory is simple: don't feed into it. Love & beauty surrounds us, but iphone screens/ internet & everything that comes with it, is unfortunately going haywire. It had the greatest potential to revolutionise our planet, but its gone down to synthetic ppl & products.. plastic, bbl & stretch marks.. sometimes I feel like the elite are manically laughing at us, like lambs to the slaughter lol
