I couldn't believe the climbing ability it provided, even while carrying my 2 year old on the back. I ordered a Turbo Levo Comp and upgraded the suspension to the Fox Float X2 and Fox 38E Forks. I ordered everything through my local bike shop instead of building one online in order to support a local business and because they will be there to help me if/when something goes wrong.

I'm sure it's a great bike, but how the hell can it cost same as a decent superbike. And nearly double a Motocross bike, why are some hell bent on the tech, when we should be out enjoying the ride. All this tech is only as good as the rider anyway. So keep it simple, keep it fun. And keep the cost down, then more can afford it.

Can't imagine the residual value is going to be that great in 3 or 4 years time when technology has moved on yet again, and some of the key components need replacing.

The Sella Ronda per EMTB without Cable Cars equals to a Day in the Saddle in fantastic Scenery on many trails on a big loop around the Dolomites Langkofel and Sella Group. The views alone all day are spectacular and the landscape flows by. The Ronda was 56 km and 2600 Vertical Meters over several Dolomite passes as well. All Day Enduro Riding, technical Alpine Trails, and long Distance. Exactly what the Pmax has been designed and engineered for in the long travel Dual Battery configuration. Lets face it, electronic shifting and suspension is old tech and used in motorsports for years, so the R&D is already completed. Frames have been made for years, R&D completed. Materials used is probably around 1/4 of whats used on a motorbike. Guessing as e-mtbers/mtbers we're kinda gullable for shiny things!

a real progress will be an endurance chain and gears with low weight. Another real game changer will be a lighter battery that charges quick and has more power. Those two would move even further eMTB. Electronic suspension is useful to customize what you plan to do but as you say, it cannot read that much variation on road in a trail. It is progress but IMO a marginal one, yes it can help have the bike even and with better grip but won't change massively your ride. So the price asked for this one, for me it don't justify. Maybe ask me that price when you have what I mentioned above first.

Well... very impressive bike, I really think this, but if this is the way the things are going for the future, considering some other improvements like abs, automatic gear, wireless breaking, maybe new chassis materials and who knows what else, the tag price of these top bikes are climbing, I guess, to the 20 grands or even more... as always, it is pointless to make comparisons between others kind of things (cars, motorbikes, whatever you like) but fun for spare time, in my opinion, have to be simple and affordable, and this not the right path... it is surely better spend money in battery extender, a good motor, a decent suspension and brakes, have a full day of freedom in nature, even if not the top of the top components, than a spaceship, costed 10 years of savings...

Well, even without "livevalve" there is not much guesswork in an conventional suspension. You adjust it to fit your needs and that is it. I have no need to flip anything while I ride. I am afraid all these electronics scream for trouble after a while. And you can not fix anything on it. Just replace for crazy money again. But who buys a bike for such money does not have to care about that I guess. I am not in the market for it and will never be. This is 2,5 times what mine had cost and I doubt it can do anything that mine can not. I even have the same range extender mounted and have the 1125 Wh if I want. Well, and the Simplon is not even sexy looking to me.

Not that advanced when the battery is external. Looks good though without the extra battery.

External has it advantages, quick to change and remove esp if the bike is stored in a cold place,I carry a spare on the bike and this would be harder with an internal long style one

I start to feel personally insulted past $8K on any bike. Seriously. That is ridiculous. I love bikes, I love high tech cutting edge bikes but stcccaaacrewwwww THAT and anyone doing it your literally fooling yourself. When I can have a literal motorcycle with clearlllllly more R&D in it that a fkin bike....again I start to have my intelligence insulted. I know what goes into them in detail, do not fking tell me some new sports bike is EASIER to R&D than a bicycle. That is just crap. It is not. Lower the price or fire your engineers. It is not justified. A ferrari is justified even, a fine watch is also justified when you see the handwork and time, this simply IS NOT!!!!

There is pretty long weight time for the whole bike industry right now (differs from brand to brand). If you like a bike it's best to get an order in to get your place in the queue. It's the same with road, mtb, bmx.. everything really.

That magnet is 2 stars off. Shimano's disc magnet is a clear winner. They win as you are forced to buy their disc :O I have the overpriced Pivot Shuttle. It only has 140mm rear travel. And I am thinking of getting the 2021 as that 140mm works better than the 180 on my Haibike..... It is hard to say what price is worth it. After owning 5+ KTMs, I think my next motorbike is going to be a Honda. Reliability and part availability and service is also an important factor.....

@@denesk2794 My brother needed chain ring bolts for a road bike and ended up getting them from a Shimano dealer in America. More expensive, but quicker and the bike was off the road without them. Magnet is bad design if it doesn't come out of the disc, I hadn't looked closely at mine to see how it was attached.

@@seankearney6915 I live in Costa Rica and often times have to order stuff from the U.S. .. there are decent shops here but if you run anything exotic, then that's the only option. Hope brake pads were always like that, but recently there is a shortage of everything even online....... I had to order a super boost wheelset from CA to FL and send it down here. No one here has a single 157mm set.
