Kobe is a brand known all over the world, but in Japan there are brand wagyu beef all over the country. Currently, Miyazaki and Kagoshima are considered to have the highest quality wagyu beef in Japan. Foreigners need to update their information on wagyu beef.

I appreciate your videos, and you are a very astute guy. However, I would recommend that when you are dining with a restaurant owner in an upscale restaurant, eating perhaps the most expensive and best steak on the planet, that you might dress like you aren't heading out to a restaurant that serves tacos with a 2 for 1 margarita special. Aside from that, you are intelligent and obviously a good person, and make great videos. Good luck with everything.

I bought 2 A5 New York strips not Kobe just regular Wagyu A5 to my job during the lockdown and 4 people ate 2 steaks and we had the worst stomach pains ever bro 😂, and we vowed never to eat that much Wagyu again, I actually go as far as like marble score 7 now or even American Wagyu. It was good tho.

I had A5 last night with fresh grated wasabi I think it was $120 for 100g, the flavour was great for a small taste and as a dish anoung other dishes But a traditional thick cut of angus for larger meals is way better imo.

Go to Japan, especially Shiga Prefecture. They are one of the three juggernauts of Wagyu, and they are generally cheaper than other famous brands, still on the same level of taste and texture though.

I’ve had Kobe beef and it’s amazing. The one I had probably had a BMS of 8. On the other hand I had a Miyazaki BMS 12 and it was just insane.

My butcher is an official waygu distributor. He’s had lots of A5 bms12 Kobe with the proper paperwork and an award for the cow. What I usually pay per stake is around $130-200 max

Japanese wagyu is something everyone should experience. If you ever get the opportunity to I highly recommend it. It’s worth whatever the cost is. I had my first wagyu steak a couple weeks ago and I’ve never had anything like it in my life!

You can get a really nice grass fed beef Wagyu ribeye steak (.78lb) at Walmart (Marketside Brand) for $15-16. It's discounted to about $12 closer to expiration and tastes great (I've had Kobe beef in Tokyo, LA, Philly and NYC) and it's comparable for that price point.

If you have never had A5 it is amazing for about about 2 or 3 bites. Then your mouth is so coated in fat you really can't taste anything. I can promise you that A3 steak would give you a better meal for a fraction of the price.

Those who haven’t tried wagyu should do so without trying these high end prices and expensive marbling steaks. Iv been to Japan and the beef there is so good you don’t need the best of the best. There is wagyu farm/restaurants in Kyushu that have excellent marbling and provide the same experience with a lesser price tag. You can get a big platter of slices for around 90 bucks and it serves around 3-4. These high end teppanyaki places are overrated
