Thank you so much for sharing this information. I began experiencing tingling in my body last year and it affects me daily now. My doctor has been trying to diagnose the problem (which has also included a trip to an MS clinic) but the link to menopause was never discussed with me. I'm 48 this year so it makes sense that it could be related to hormones.

Janet - I've had itchy hands and feet various times for many years - a result of allergies. (the itchiness always starts in my hands & feet and spreads.) My allergist from years ago recommended Allegra. Claritin helped me with allergy symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, etc., while Allegra did wonders for my itchy skin. Of course, check with your doctor, but allergies might be your culprit! Lesa

I'm the same. Never experienced that kind of itchy on my skin before. For me it's plastic, polyester and wood. I have to be careful with toilet paper, plastic bags and any wood. If touches my skin it becomes inflamed and itchy. In TK Max I bought a skin spray called Bioskin by Salcure. Suitable for Eczema & psoriasis. Takes the sting out of the itchy very quickly. This starting happening during the covid times but pre vaccinations. Very strange times. I'm 8 years post menopause so it doesn’t seem connected. All these mystery things that I can't ask a doctor about.

I quit drinking five and half years ago and my nervous system has gone on strike. At the start of last year, I began experiencing scary symptoms but the most persistent was an unbearable intermittent burning soreness throughout my body, especially the upper part and back of the head. I consulted a few homeopaths before finding one that uses a radionics machine for a proper diagnosis. I feel great now, but the scalp tenderness is still present. My scalp seems to be missing its natural oils and my hair feel really dry and brittle. Some of the fallen strands look really thin. I have been doing some natural home treatments and avoiding haircare mistakes along with products containing harsh chemicals. The hairdressers are no help as they often use thinning scissors on my hair, so I gave myself a buzz cut. I am tired of running to the doctor's and fed up of spending my husband's money on my health. It is consoling to see that buzz and bald are in. 🙄

I'm 45 and am starting to have the symptoms now mostly mood based and sleep based. Eileen this is not related to tingling but I wanted to ask on the most recent video in the hope you would see it. I'm struggling with crying spells and feelings of irritation and sometimes anger. My husband understands thankfully. He suggested trying yoga and some calming teas and I tried it and I did feel slightly better. I eat very healthy and exercise daily with weight training and long walks with our dog. My question is (and my doctor can't answer this) is hypericum ok? I've read it raised estrogen and as I'm at the start of peri I'm unsure of my estrogen level. Also I have a family history of estrogen dominant breast cancer. If it does raise estrogen I'm wary of trying it. I feel very worried Eileen about what's going to happen from here on...but your videos are very reassuring and I'm keeping positive knowing I can get through this with the love of my husband
@AvogelCoUk
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Lindsey Fantastic to hear that your husband is very supportive; this can make all the difference! There is no issue taking Hypericum at this point as long as you are not on any prescribed medication from your doctor. We don't have any contraindications regarding hormone levels so it is not likely to have any effect at any point. Crying is such a common phase in the menopause and many women will experience this at some point to some degree so you are not alone here! I have posted a vlog on this and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/crying-fear-and-worry-whats-causing-these-emotions/ Best Wishes Eileen

I too am post menopausal and l get tingling, itchy numbing in hands & feet. Went to the doctors and did a thyroid test which came back under active. So my symptoms were traced back to the thyroid which l would never have thought. I honestly suspected it was something to do with finishing menopause & low oestrogen levels of which it wasn’t! I now have to take a thyroid hormone for the rest of my life and this has alleviated those weird sensations in my feet & hands. It may be your thyroid, it’s so worth going and getting a test done for peace of mind.
