VR navigation when sculpting/modeling isn't just 'quicker', it's night and day. I've been using VR profesionally as a miniature/collectibles sculptor for the last few years and once you experience VR navigation and 6dof move tools, going back to the desktop is like going back to the stone age. 😂

Speaking my mind there. Although I think at current state the Desktop still required for finishing touch and added finer detailed. VR Sculpture, After I have dabbling in it for a while is a future. To be able to move around "Slap" the shapes here and there, form it by your own "hand" it felt just right and very intuitive. Althought at this point, I am still trying to create just a fruits I am very excite and have a high hope to create a bowl of fruits the more I gotten use this this stuff!!

I use Gravity Sketch for my VRChat models all the time! With enough practice you can definitely get something viable, though it helps to have some level of blender/3D Modeling knowledge as well-- But that's mostly just for more technical aspects and polish, modeling on it's own? So much more approuchable.

Just downloaded that one. Is there a reason why all of my FBX files come in looking like blank mannequins with no texture?

It depends on what you need to do. If you are doing concept modeling the VR May be useful, but if you are doing something that needs to be engineered I think it's not enough precise.

You don´t sculpt for engineering you use CAD.

Just subscribed. Who's the artist on display here? The work is pretty incredible. Specifically the guy carrying the other guy on his back and the multiple hands grabbing each other are both incredible.

I don't think VR modeling is precise enough to be used professionally, at least not yet.

It is no developed enough. Zbrush exists since 1999. Now think back how computers and modeling was back in 1999. They hat 24 years to create a great piece of software. VR is just starting.

it can be just as precise. Just try gravity sketch

using a spacemouse is better cuz u can move around the model while you sculpt easily. and u dont get tired from holding your arms up all the time and having to pay for and wear vr goggles.

I had first tried gravity Sketch 2021 and before that many Vr games. And I rarely model something. I can imagine that if you have worked with a pen or a mouse for a long time that it is easy. But Vr is precise and feels totally natural and that's why I know it's the next step! But it needs time!

AR yes to use virtual monitors but VR is too tiring and slow to build a 3d model.
