You are rigth. I do some welding in my own shop. I often do 2 or 3 small jobs the same time, when 1 product cools in the welding jig i work on another small product for another customer. That way i sometimes make €120 and up per hour. If i did all jobs seperatly i had to wait when the product cools and i would make €50 an hour, that what i normally calculate and i base my agreed prices on. So sometimes i make €120 an hour, but i dont see it that way, i have €50 an hour all week, and sometimes im home a couple hours early but the day is paid for. For everybodies notice, €50 an hour does not mean im rich or something. Owning a shop is pretty expensive. I just have a good salary, no boss to argue with and family time whenever i want to.

Oh God... Okay, so, i actually wash widows. If you're gonna charge for residential, you do it 110%. Somebody lives there, you know? On top of that, you want to detail your edges with some sort of cloth. I personally use surgical towels, because they work *super well.* Wipe off the ledges on the bottoms of the widow's when you're done, and clean up any drops on the floor if you do the inside. If anyone plans to wash widows consistently, black diamond has really good squeegee blade. Change those every few days. Pro tip: Dawn dish soap is all you need to put in the water. Fill up your bucket, and add just enough to make the water a little bit slippery. Not too much, cause that can make the water dry to quickly in the sun. That leaves marks and looks really bad.

@@gotoverit3337 You can look online for a few videos about doing it - I like "how to wash windows with the S technique" to get you started. Really, water, dawn, and a professional squeegee (DON'T buy Home Depot/Lowe's type of stuff) is all you'll need. Good technique and you're good. Window cleaners sometimes are particular over their methods and their wash mix, so your mileage may vary, but that should get you started if you're curious. :)
@fungulusmaximus
Жыл бұрын
@•Mr Yanno• tools make a big difference in it. It's hard to see on camera typically, but handles for grip, material for your wetter and so on make a difference. $60 on a kit is store quality and not pro-grade, so even with decent technique he's gonna streak, leave behind some dirt etc. His grip shows he looked unconfident in swiveling, expected if you're new. But that'll show out in more direct sunlight. Also, I can't even begin to explain how bad his top windows are going to look with those tools and pole technique.. Some guys swear by not using a pole for high windows, and only using a ladder. Others view it the opposite. Imo, pole for high windows is fine, but if you don't understand pressure and how to use your squeegee on a pole, you'll leave streaks and have less quality windows as a result. You can at least guarantee quality by going up the ladder.

They're a real estate business. As long as people spend money it doesn't matter what job you do. This is why America couldn't handle the easiest pandemic to beat ever. And this is also why hella large ass companies got rich off the pandemic. This is why there's like.... no public transport in America, they want you to buy a new car. This is why they'll sell you a 100,000 dollar education and tell you it's the most important thing you'll ever buy and then when you graduate you can't find a job in your field without ANOTHER degree. If doing a shitty job keeps you from getting rehired, find more suckers or weed out the competition. But chances are there's something you can do to keep people buying from you.
