I like the front part of your vest. What is the name of the placard, and where did you buy it. Does it work with any vest?

It’s the defense mechanisms placard system. It’s modular so you can add/remove different pouches as needed. Links are in the description

@@daviancampbell4425 as long as the vest has a place to mount the female buckles and loop velcro at the bottom it should work

I have the defense mechanisms placard system as well. My handcuffs in their handcuff pouch is very loose. What pouch are you running specifically for your handcuffs.

I use the elastic rifle mag pouch for my cuffs, it’s not super tight but I’ve never had them fall out when running or going over fences or anything like that.

I hope our department lets us switch over to something like this. We’re currently using the Point Blank vest where it zips up the center. I don’t care for it. There’s too many adjustments and too little space for gear layout.

Yeah, I mean, one pro for that vest is it gives more coverage, but also if I’m thinking of the right one, you don’t have the ability to scale up to rifle plates. I think rifle plates are crucial for most officers nowadays. Been seeing a lot of rifles on the streets

@@Officercake all I have is level 2A ballistic panels. I came from the army where I had the IOTV with plates and Kevlar. I’m used to the heavy weight. I’m still waiting on my plate carrier for active shooter situations. But in reality who’s going to take the time to switch setups when there’s lives at risks.

@@HeatOfTheHunt yeah absolutely. I think you either choose to always have rifle protection, or you understand that putting them on is NOT the priority in any meaningful situation where you would want them aside from a planned warrant execution. I hope your dept gets with the times and allows yall to be better prepared man 🙏

I have the point plant center zip one and it has an insert in the front and back to add plates, ordered some ICW plates to make it rifle rated! Will see how much weight it adds though

@@IvanitePolo yeah I’d imaging having both soft armor and hard plates would add on to the weight fairly quickly

@@eliriversss aahhhh yes. I’ve been debating getting that for awhile now. With the way my holster sits on my belt currently, the mag well is flush against the seat and doesn’t torque at all. I worry if I bring it any further back, it will start to push into the seat and make it less comfortable but also harder to get out from a car

i thought the same thing but for me i have a straight up & down cant & it doesn’t change anything. It changes draw stroke from vehicle but that comes with dry fire
