it's not always doing someone dirty, it's just that they are past their prime. There were issues with Carmelo he wasn't interested in coming off the bench but he changed his mentality and now is thriving in his role. @@axucaroso exactly, he's trying to squeeze every bit of nothingness from his treasure picks, crazy to have those pick and not trade them from a performing player, they let go of the 30th pick desmond bane who end being better than nesmith, pritchard and all of their 2019 picks 😂 semi ojeleye is still on the damn team. Before danny realize that we blew it, he made a move for fournier who is most likely to leave after this mess,

@@theclassicmanila-style8435 Yes! Desmond Bane was a steal at 30! Why would Ainge trade him and keep Waters and Edwards? The Celtics kept Semi and Grant - basically the same skill set. Ainge could have used two picks and gotten Vucevich, move Theis to power forward where he is thriving in Chicago. Batum should have included in the sign and trade for Gordon Hayward. No need for Teague, trade Thompson and any two of the bench players to replenish the picks or for another bench shooter. The season could have started with Peyton getting all of Teague's minutes, Batum and Bane anchoring the bench, then adding Vucevich at the trade deadline. Maybe 10 -12 wins better, solid defense and rebounding.

You can argue that most gm's will do that trade as well however what made it bad was the timming and the result. Kyrie left the celtics and didn't won a championship making us think we should have just ride with i.t. and gave his dues since he deserve it, i don't know about max since he got injured but probably close to it on a 3 year deal would have been fine.
@mike91mdk45

Injured his hip and wanted max dollars. That'll scare most any GM. They didn't believe it would be a good investment, and looks like they were right. He's a good dude, but the business part has to come into play too
@beards-N-boonies

It's bit about not paying him. It's about not telling him they aren't picking him up and then to make it worse, hopped on trading for Kyrie the first chance they could. Then that immediately bit them back.
