Robinson Crusoe Island
The Juan Fernández Islands, distant and isolated in the Pacific, is a subtropical territory surrounded by a generous and splendid sea. Its remoteness and exoticism have created extraordinary stories such as the one linked to the novel that originated the name of the main island, "Robinson Crusoe". Its flora and fauna are endemic, original and beautiful, but endangered. Its hard-working inhabitants are mainly fishermen who survive on archaic ways of life.
